You are so awful with your "trolls" this season.

Must not be a contract year.

thekad is NBA-age's equivalent to Drew Gooden and the Bucks.

We want to trade him to the other threads but fucked up and gave him a long-term deal we can't back out of. We're talking to Blackace to see if we get a new CBA to change that.

Vets league is the only league. You can tell it's superior because there isn't a bad owner sitting at the top like those other ones.

Ok. I take that back. I am officially rooting for you now, despite of your weak trolling attempts. :lol
wtf - i gave dirk away because he wasn't even shooting 3s anymore, my roster was shallow as hell and curry's ankle is lookin worse than Roy's knees right now. But by all means, screw context and embrace the troll.

No more Sancha you say?!?!?

Oh glorious day, Gonna celebrate with a couple of sandwiches from Philippes.

Mmmm. Double dip them sumbitches.

I saw a homeless guy get arrested their during lunch one time. Apparently he had stolen something from a nearby shop and ducked inside to hide. A bunch of those ChinaTown security patrol dudes on bikes started to trickle into Phillipes until there were like 10 of them. They then slowly surrounded him, all while he tried to play it off like he was eating there, even grabbing and munching from a left over food tray. He acted as if he wasn't aware of the presence right up until they swarmed him. :lol They held him until the real cops showed up.

:lol :lol

Sorry to hear that.

We'll be fine, just need to cut down on the time off of work. My wife's dad is sick and needs a liver transplant, so she's been flying out to Santa Barbara a lot to visit and help out and that's where our fun money has gone. Here's hoping that he gets that liver soon.

You can have Gallinari or Fields, but not both!
i loled. IMO, they can have Chandler and Gallo with a first rounder from AR deal and Curry exp. I like Fields alot. Reminds me of a cult player like Starks that the fans will love for a long time, but if it meant Melo..so long Fields.

well looks like the machine trade is better than 1st reported

Lakers outgoing: Sasha Vujacic, 2011 1st-rounder
Lakers incoming: Joe Smith, Sergei Lishouk (rights), Golden State 2011 2nd-rounder, Chicago 2012 2nd-rounder $5M trade exception

http://lakers.ocregister.com/2010/12/15/lakers-acquire-joe-smith-two-no-2-picks-and-ukrainian/44996/

and heres the quote
The Lakers acquired forward Joe Smith, the rights to Ukrainian forward Sergei Lishouk, Golden State’s 2011 second-round pick and Chicago’s 2012 second-round pick Wednesday in a three-team deal with New Jersey and Houston, surrendering guard Sasha Vujacic and the Lakers’ 2011 first-round pick

damn mitchs magic wand doin work again :D

Knicks should trade Gallinari, Fields, Chandler, Randolph, Curry's expiring and Azubuike's soon-to-be fully insured expiring contract/cash savings for Carmelo Anthony. I mean, for a guy of Carmelo's quality who won't extend with anyone else if they trade for him, you gotta do it right?

Then the lineup can be this:

Felton
Douglas
Anthony
Stoudemire
Turiaf

and the bench can be:

Mason Jr.
Williams
Mozgov
Rautins

With player depth like that, the championship is sure to come quickly!

No, it's still a complete salary dump for the Lakers. That Russian guy is never going to play in the NBA.

uhh duh?

mitch got rid of a terrible contract and ended up with salary/cap relief and he also ended up getting golden states and chicagos 2nd round pick not to mention that GS's pick in all likelihood wont be far off from our 1st round pick and it saves us money since 2nd rounders dont have guaranteed contracts
the trade exception is just extra icing on the cake :D

as for the players the ukranian guy and joe smith get to enjoy the ride for a possible 3peat and dr buss has extra money to spend on resigning shannon and barnes :D

edit:another article discussing the positives of the trade

you say that like they wouldn't be a better team there, than the one you currently put on the floor.

Considering he could walk to the Knicks after the season...
posted before, but
Carmelo is under contract through next season, but he has an opt-out (actually an ETO, basically the same thing). So Carmelo is not considered an expiring contract, and he remains tradeable right up until June 30 if the Nuggets hang onto him past the deadline. Also, the extension that's sitting on the table is good through June 30, too. This is a piece of leverage the Nuggets hold over the Knicks, because NY needs to make the trade by Feb. 24 in order to include Eddy Curry's expiring contract in the deal. And you need the Curry money to make the salaries match.
Its never been quite that simple.

How is that team better? First guy off the bench is Roger Mason Jr? Sure they're better if you play the starters 45 min a night.

DY_nasty MD on the case :lol He'll be back before next week.

Chalmers starting at PG, he is finally getting the chance he wanted this season.

.............now lets watch him do everything in his power and mess it up.

Yes, the Nuggets can hold onto Carmelo indefinitely/until June 30th.
Yes, the Nuggets could move Carmelo against his will to any other team they want just to spite the Knicks, and leave the Knicks to hope that he still really wants to sign with them.
Yes, this is a game of chicken.

Yes, I believe the Nuggets will blink first because the Knicks - just like this past FA period - have nothing to lose. Either they get Carmelo Anthony - via trade from the Nuggets, sign-and-trade in the FA period, or straight cash in the FA period - or they have their currently decent team as it's constructed right now and at least a max contract's worth of cash to improve it via trades and free agency.
