Eastern Conference team. Bottom dwellers for years and years.

Suddenly, things turn around. They have a head coach who people love to make fun of, but hey, dude's got a Coach Of The Year award. Can't be that bad, right?

And they've got a PF putting up ludicrous numbers. Dude's game is so solid the home crowd chants "MVP" at him.

10-11 Knicks through 27 Games: 16-11

And this is why people troll the Knicks. Because I know that when the Raptors were having THE EXACT SEASON NEW YORK IS NOW, they got no respect. Because they hadn't earned it.

Without Melo, the Knicks will be lucky to reach the highs of the Atlanta Hawks.

How are they a title contender when they can't even keep it close with a Boston squad thats known for not even giving a fuck during the regular season?

Their best bet in getting to the conference finals is SVG being stupid and having his team freeze out Dwight for a whole series.

I think Miami is still criminally underperforming (because they don't even have an offense yet and don't know what to do with Bosh's lady urges), but they're above average. Elite? Not at all. Are they on a good run right now? Sure. But so were the Knicks

We're not there yet. I know it sounds lame, but I'd be happy to get out of the first round this year, and to do that we need to draw a favorable first round matchup.

Barring a trade that brings in a dominant defensive big, that is.

Well...yeah. I don't think anyone expects them to win a championship or anything.

Whats your point? I don't know where you get the idea that they get "respect" now...people are just remarking how New York finally has decent basketball for the first time in a decade.

That doesn't mean anything. Miami blows out scrub teams. We already covered this. When a scrub team's second unit plays an entire 4th quarter, the FG defense will be really good.

Big Z, Chris Bosh, and Joel Anthony is one of the worst defensive frontcourts in the league. Let alone the hole they have at the PG spot....its pretty easy to understand that they aren't and will never be a good defensive team.

The Nets are a terrible, terrible basketball team. Avery Johnson has them underachieving, and they weren't any good to begin with. They were getting styled on by Linas Kleiza, who was barely even in the rotation last week.

They are #1 FG Defense wise for the whole season bro. They are one of the top 5 best Defensive teams in the league easy.
