In more pressing news, the Rockets are eighth in Hollinger's power rankings :lol
Eventhough they're in the bottom 10 in SOS AND their SOS over the past ten games is at .398? Coolios.

Well, IIRC they were in the top 15 before the soft schedule. That we're blowing out bad teams and beating average teams like the Lakers shows we're not as much of a pretender as the Losing-Streak Knicks.

I love this TrueHoop headline:

If no Melo, Knicks have potential Plan Bs
http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/23017/if-no-melo-knicks-have-potential-plan-bs

Somebody should let him know that we are past the letters thing.

Also...

The Knicks' other scenario would potentially bring Cleveland's proven role players Anderson Varejao and Daniel "Boobie" Gibson to Madison Square Garden. The Knicks are aware of their need for more toughness inside and Varejao would provide that.
:lol

And sub .500

Their victory margin over the last 10 is +7.5 or so, which would be amongst the top in the league, and is the only thing i see that would explain it.

Such an odd system.

Gibson is the one guy who the organization will not trade, let alone he and Andy at once.
Oh man.

Donnie: "We want Gibson and Varejao, or nothing at all!"

Not much better.

Well nun and bum rhyme

See, varejao's not horrible, he's a great role player, and as a defender and rebounder next to STAT would go ok. But for his contract, he's terrible. That contract is Joe Johnson bad.
I laughed more at the fact that they want to get a "tough interior presence" and their target is Andersen Varejao. Only under D'Antoni.

They won their Superbowl over the Lakers.

Their other current options are Amar'e and a guy named Timoféy. He's Mr. T by comparison.
Which makes it all that more hilarious, no?

Which reminds me, what happened to all the mozGOD all over the knicks face stuff that they were going on about in the off season? is he even getting off the bench?

You mean 2.4PPG/2.1RPG on 36FG% is not the stuff of legends?

Excited to watch DAL/ORL tonight. C-Webb just had an excellent piece breaking down Hedo's game from last night.

Hedo causes a lot of problems for opposing teams. Thats not just a token phrase people say all the time; its true...he works marvelously in ORL's system. Its all about effort now.

edit: oh shit, Nelson/J-Rich/Redick/Hedo/Dwight starting lineup!

I don't believe the Knicks have anything the Cavs would want.
And plus, you'd likely have to take Jamison or Mo to get either one of them.

Our contract situations are SICK. $15M to Jamison next year? Fuuuuuuuuu.

Surely we can trick someone into taking him, right?

:(

Yay another game where we come out of the gate with no energy and have to play catch up the rest of the way. *sigh* Guess I should start getting used to this.

$42 million. It's bad enough without you adding millions of dollars.
Psht, like Dallas isn't picking up that $10mil option on his last year.

OKC has 15FTA in the first quarter while shooting 25FG%.

"It's all part of their gameplan!" etc etc.
