How in the world has Wade expanded his game? That post game you're talking about? He's had that for a while. He's got a pretty solid mid-range game if you didn't know. He doesn't get to take advantage of either because he not only is he getting fewer shots, he doesn't have the ball. You take the ball away from a ball dominant player and watch how they forget how to be relevant when they're still relied on to get the same buckets.

And he's only grabbing those rebounds because Bosh won't and Z will never board outside of his position...

Edit: Bosh over Love :lol :lol :lol
What are you saying exactly? Wade does take advantage of his midrange game, he shoots from that distance plenty- and pretty well lately. How has he "forgotten to be relevant" and what does that even mean? Especially since he's not relied on to get the same buckets consistently, because Lebron is there....And when his number's been called, hes largely delivered.

Also, the heat haven't had a decent rebounder/inside presence since Shaq- Bosh and Z are easily the best since, and Wade is rebounding better than ever now that hes playing with them.

Who knows how Love handles clutch situations, we won't find that out until 2013.
He doesn't get the ball, and he won't as long as he's playing with Beasley. And the Wolves will extend both of them.

And here's another damning indictment of Kurt Rambis: he wanted Jefferson over Love because he thought Love's ceiling was 6th man.

Against the Bulls, the Wolves had one leader on the team and it wasn't Beasley.

His game seems so limited and he appeared to be braindead on the court.

I heard he was having a great year and was like "what the????"

He could have been having a nontypical game though.

Love was thoroughly understated while being overly impressive with his skillset.

He'd REALLY help a team with some talent.
I agree which is why I said I'd take him over Bosh considering salary. I like Bosh obviously, but him making 4 times more than Love is crazy. Bosh at 8 million a year would be good, but not the 15 that he's getting.

That's the league. David Lee would be at the bottom of a Top 20 PF List, and he makes 11 Million.

He will actually be making more then 20 million in 2014-15. The Heat have $76 million to 5 players that year, damn.

Love's problem is he can't create his own shot.

And you're totally right that Beasley still has a lot to work on, but baby steps. He hasn't been driving with that tunnel vision in the last several games, and that's a big, big step for him. I've even seen flashes of mediocre defense from him.

Yeah, that makes sense.

He does well for what he has(not the greatest athlete in the world) but I don't know how much he can improve in that area.

He just seems to be really smart and there's always a negative or limiting factor with most players.

Plus, the guy takes pride in the game and I can't ever seeing him take a game off or slack.

WTF? Really? Why is this? Is this type of salary setup normal?

David Lee's arm almost fell off because Wilson Chandler doesn't brush his teeth. Warriors win when he plays though...

Exactly what I said. Stay free, thekad.

Wade is not, nor has he ever been, an off-ball scorer. As long as Lebron as the one dominating the ball, Wade isn't - and Wade didn't become an MVP candidate playing off of someone else. Can he still get buckets? Of course, but is he doing the same things for his team that made him a top 5 player in the league? Fuck no.

The frontcourt is ridiculously trash... Things were better with Zombie Marion.

So now you think the Shawn Marion front court is better than today's Heat front court? :lol :lol

Big Z works great in the post season.

Yep.

You said Haslem gives Miami the same thing Bosh gives them. That is :lol :lol :lol
And who's going to argue that?

This season, what does Bosh do better than Haslem?

This'll be fun...

He is a much more dynamic offensive player in that he can create his own shot when a possession goes to shit. Or they can just dump it down to him for an easy layup or a foul and a couple of free throws. Haslem is an off-the-ball midrange shooter. Again, comparing the two is :lol You can do better than that.

OMG you're serious. Do you remember who played on that Marion front court of Miami's?
Guys who didn't get to experience the Thrillsap Europhoria or get Okafloored. At least with the D-league goons, there was something between the 3pt line and the rim. A paint full of desperate, vet min bigs trying to stay in the league is better than what you have now. Shit, Dampier isn't even Diop good.

edit: dump it down to bosh... lol

You guys were the one saying that Joel Anthony was not only an NBA starter, but a defensive anchor from a championship squad. gtfo :lol

A mob of 6'9+ goons playing for their jobs in an open tryout season is going to keep people from just waltzing into the lane like they do now.

Defensive anchor?:lol I think Joel Anthony does help us in some ways on D, no one in Heat-Age ever said "Defensive Anchor." He is okay as a defensive roleplayer in limited time, gives us decent size and will give us a couple boards and a block or two in the 15ish minutes he usually plays. For our team thats fine.

"Defensive Anchor":lol Come on now.

You guys are the ones who started up that bullshit. Don't look at me :lol

Even pheenix thought he was a starter - now he's been replaced by a civil war vet who has zero mobility in his knees. A guy who's also somehow supposed to hold down the paint against Boston and Orlando? Riiiiiiiight.

I dunno dude, our interior D by committee has be just fine lately. Obviously we haven't played Boston or Orlando recently, but I really do think that people underestimate our D. If it was as shitty as you make it out to be, Bynum, Pau, Amare, Haywood (haha), etc, etc, would have beasted us.

For some reason he's going to say those games don't matter.

You don't need an all-world defender in the paint to have a solid defensive front-line. Bobcats didn't even have Chandler for the majority of season (and he was a bitch who couldn't even stay on the floor when he did play). Charlotte put out a frankencenter lineup of Ratliff, Nazr, Diop, and thugged the hell out of everyone who thought they could get something easy at the rim.

Kalem(?) Powell was a goon. Anthony, Blount, Barron - those guys weren't aiming to 'contest shots', they were going to lay you the fuck out trying to get blocks. Was it effective? lol no - but it did intimidate opposing players a lot more than the row of tulips on Miami's current front line.

Did you just throw out Earl Barron and old ass Mark Blount? Seriously?:lol :lol

Not as players, as goons. Duh :P

Who do you think I am? thekad?

Steve Francis, who's averaging 0.5 points and 0.7 rebounds in China, has been cut by the Beijing Ducks, report says.

:facepalm

And some Chicago trade rumors from my Un-Trusty Twitter feed.

Source says Stephen Jackson might get traded to Chicago soon. OJ Mayo also a possibility.
Chicago's plan C is getting J.R. Smith from the Nuggets. Bulls want to solidify roster and take next huge step by adding a scoring 2-guard.

A Rose and Mayo back court would be pretty scary.
Stephen Jackson would fuck up that team's chemistry so bad.
And JR is a damn head case. Bad fucking idea.

Also, Chicago's GM is retarded if he plans to give up either Joakim Noah or Taj Gibson in any of these trades.

Not sure it's scary much, but he'd make a very nice 5th piece... What would they give up? I don't really see how... He's at like 4.5M, neither Brewer nor Korver are good enough for Grizzlies to accept... Bogans is not good enough, even when paired with Watson...

He wouldn't trade Noah for Melo why would you think he would for Jackson?

I missed a giant Heat argument last night. Boy am I glad I went to sleep early, but Dy you done lost your mind?

Heat fans will probably always love Haslem more than Bosh but if you think Bosh isn't better by a mile then you crazy. Bosh might not have some of the tough guy genes a lot of power forwards have and I've pretty much hated him all year but lately he is playing more physical lately and that's been good to see. Need to see it in May and June though.

Oh, and this gets the worst post of the night.

TheGreatMightyPoo said:
The Bulls were one possession away from beating the Celtics without Boozer at Boston.

The Heat lost to the Celtics and weren't that close despite the scores of the games.

If you think the Bulls can't beat the Heat with actual inside scoring, a better bench and actual coaching, then you're likely a Heat fan.

Not to mention having to deal with Rose.

I fear the Celtics and them alone in the East though there are a few teams that concern me.

:lol

you guys also need to stop using "heat can't beat above .500 teams! DAT RECORD" that argument is just about as retarded as you can use in december
