Again you are wrong when it comes to his FG%. In October, November, and December of 2009 he shot (his first 30 games) 44%. The next 50 games he shot 50%. Just admit when you are wrong and keep it moving.

Ph33nix stopped because he acknowledged that he didn't have access to the numbers to keep talking about it. He was going off of what he remembered. And I'm telling you that Hoopdata has Wade shooting better in the 2nd part of the season, relative to the beginning of the season.

Ph33nix was saying that over the course of the year Wade's shooting averaged out to fit his career average numbers, even though he started off slowly in his FG%.

It's all right here!

http://www.hoopdata.com/splits.aspx?player=Dwyane Wade&year=2010
You are the worst poster this thread has ever seen. And that includes Triple U and Absinthe. No, I am not joking, and yes, I am being harsh.

Your entire hangup on Wade's shooting percentage of a god-awful 44% (:lol) and your utter inability to comprehend the phrase "Wade started out the year with rather sub-par numbers" and that, in fact, it does not only talk about shooting percentages, makes you a wholly miserable person to talk to because you are stuck within your realm of tunnel vision and are incapable of having a nuanced discussion about sports and sports statistics.

Dwyane Wade did not have a sub-par beginning to the season last year relative to what he usually produces. He was, in fact, right on par. That's what the word par means.

In fact, Wade shooting 51% for the rest of the season and putting up better numbers than 26/5/6 is him playing beyond himself. It's literally him doing better than par. How difficult is that to get?

You know how Lebron tends to quit when he's behind? You should follow his lead.

The hell man? The convo started out by talking about Lebron's ability to shoot better. Your ass made this quote.

reilo said:
So, his mechanics look "better" but he's missing more mid-range shots than ever in the past five seasons. Obviously that means he's improved!

Again the "numbers" being talked about was jump shooting. How the hell did you forget that in just 3 hours? :lol

And I didn't think Ph33nix was saying Wade's FG% was god-awful like you stated above. He used the word sub-par. Do you know what sub-par means? It means below average. That's all and that's what Wade shooting was in the beginning of the 2009-2010 season.

I thought you were better than this. I see your post in the PoliGaf threads and you seem more easy to talk to. Here? Pfft.

You know the thread has gone to hell when people talk more about other posters than NBA games.
For real. We should be admiring Michael Beasley's 30, 9 and 7 on Ariza's lockdown defense.

And we should be talking more about the rumor posted early that D. Cousins might be going down to the D-League. I mean WTF? The guy may have some emotional issues but, the last place he needs to go to is the D-League.

I believe it'll just kill his confidence.

Now that we're over a third into the season...

Awards

MVP: Dirx
COTY: Rick Carlisle
Popovich
ROTY: John Wall
Beast Griffin
6MOTY: James Larden
Jamal Crawford
DPOY: Andrew Bogust
MIP: Eric Gordon
LVP: Tie between Barren Davis, Chris "Perpetually Injured" Kaman, and Troy Murphy

COTY should go to Silas for getting the Bobcats over 100 without OT in a close game.

Hey, you guys are making fun of him but give him credit. He's actually talking about basketball. Pimp talked straight out of Rony Seikaly's ass :lol
Absinthe was a dick, but he generally knew what he was talking about. :lol mcmas is the guy talking about how Lebron James gets called for charges all de time. At least peterb0y tries. This dude is proudly letting everyone know that he has doesn't know what he's talking about.

He's this year's wizman23.

How the hell did we get back on talking about Lebron now? Ok, I'll bite: ph33nix said Lebron is shooting better than before. But his 10-15FT % is near a five-year low, and his 16-23FT % is right around what he's done the past few years, but still bad. In fact, it's at Josh Smith levels. How has his jumpshot improved, exactly? Because his mechanics "look" better? That doesn't mean it is better. HURRR.

Ph33nix wasn't talking exclusively about Wade's shooting percentages goddammit! He used the word "NUMBERS", with an S, implying PLURAL, implying MORE THAN ONE STATISTIC. I easily pointed out that Wade started out the first two months of last season averaging 26/5/6 --- right around what Wade usually does, hence PAR FOR THE COURSE and NOT sub-par. He only mentioned shooting percentages afterwards when he got caught looking stupid.

Good grief. Why is this so difficult for you?

So are you going to sit here and say Leborn doesn't get hit with alot of charging calls? I gave you proof that in the 2008 season Lebron committed the 13th most offensive fouls in the league.

All you've giving me is lols.

"Caron Butler, Tyson Chandler and Jason Terry stepped up and proved something crucial about Dallas." -nba.com

They proved that if you play poorly you can beat a team that is playing even worse?

Will watch the Knicks/Heat streaming and Lakers/Spurs on nbatv tonight.....last time the Knicks faced the Heat, Knicks played great for one quarter, not as great for one quarter, then went home during halftime to take a nap.

Ron Artest, although he actually did help the kids auctioning off his ring.

He went from Game 7 savior to just stinking it up on the court so far this year.

And he should've been leading the league. :lol

Lebron hasn't played a single game since 04 where he hasn't run someone over to get a call.

I'll give you Love is in the running and the most likely winner for MIP, but Me-asley?

How serious are you about that, Rodeo?
Even though Felton is still the same dumbass he was in Charlotte, he'll probably end up getting looked at for MIP

Actually Lebron is shooting the best in his career so far from the 16-23 foot %. And 41% for a SF is actually good. It's better than Paul Pierce and Kevin Durant.

The Rockets have discussed Yao Ming with the Kings and Bobcats, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reported on Monday afternoon that Houston was shopping the All-Star center.

Bobcats offer what?

Too bad the Barren deal fell through... would love to have Augustin in a Clips jersey.

JAX is one of my top 5 most frustrating players to watch. He has talent but something in between those ears just isn't ticking right. His decisions are horrible.

Wallace and Nazr? I dunno... don't care either way. We'd save a ton of money. But I'm not too hyped about cap moves considering the CBA is looking to be drastically different.

Ron Artest isn't making Barren/Kaman money though...

The Mavericks will not get Rodrigue Beaubois back anytime soon, according to Rick Carlisle.

"I'm not going to talk about Roddy's situation until it becomes something imminent," Carlisle told 1310-AM The Ticket in Dallas.

Brandy am cry...

If we actually have to depend on Artest for his offense then we are not a very good team. He was brought in for his defense (which he can and still does bring) against the good small forwards in the league.

The Lakers troubles on offense are stemming from the fact that Pau has been getting outplayed one on one against all the goons and scrub big men of other teams and Kobe has been ineffective on offense. We were great when those two guys were unguardable one on one, which would give us 40-50 points from them alone and open up everything else for the rest of the team. With shit Pau and gimp Kobe we are no better than what the Spurs have been for the last few years.

It might get ugly tonight if we don't show up from the tipoff.

Lakers are probably gonna lose tonight, but man this is actually the biggest game of their season so far, testing the team, playoffs ranking, etc.

For the Lakers its their championship, for the Spurs its just another regular season game.

So who wins fight of the year? Nominees are Heat-Age vs. Err'body and thekad vs. charsace. I would also accept votes for branduil vs. Carlisle.

ryutaro's mama said:
No I got the 5pur5 troll.

It also made me remember a horrible time in Lakerland.

Del Harris had more talent than Phil and failed.
Actually, I forget that we didn't get swept against Phoenix in 06. That was what I thought the last time was that the Lakers got swept. It sure felt like a sweep.

But honestly sweeping the Lakers in the 90s is about as impressive as beating the Mavs in any decade. Everyone did it so many times that it just stops being impressive.

i go away for a few days and the thread is populated by more heat LLL's ? :(

Also, i see the heat won the superbowl.

And also that the magic appear to be clicking.
