He really is a fucking anomaly...

That being said, I'm more pissed about losing Ajinca than anything. Larry's final "fuck you" trade before he killed those strippers...
Ajinca really wasn't that great... his defense was pretty bad. I don't know why Mahinmi didn't play.

Branduil, if Larry didn't fuck Lexi's mind for 3 years, then there is no doubt in my mind that he'd at least be better than Diop and Kwame.

Dude, it's Knick-fan standard-fare bullshit.

You challenge them on a legitimate debate as to why their team has some problems, and they counter with "but lol some obscure reference and loss from fifteen years ago your team had and lol remember that one time one of your players had that one embarrassing moment".
I mean shit. Amare's opening to this season is looking a lot like Bosh's last year in Toronto. Hell, I think Bosh started off hotter with the MVP shit... If you take in to account that Bosh played a schedule that wasn't frontloaded with scrubs, you could even say that Bosh's start was better.

See we all told you that BOSH IS A SUPERSTAR!!!1111

actually not really lol

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

It's funny cause its true. Happened DURING the knick game tonight.

Lol Yes the Knicks, one of the youngest teams in the league, after playing together for less than half a season, have problems and holes that are preventing them from beating contenders on the road and being better than 4 games over .500. Good job! Great observation son... Not really just sodium. Bottom line is the Knicks are doing better than you thought and instead or acknowledging that or at the very least not being so bitter about it you move the goal posts.

I never once said that the 2009 Bobcats were a second round team (just that they should've tanked for the Cavs). I don't think I've ever said that the Bobcats were a second round.

No you said in the summer that this Bobcat team would be a 2nd round team this season (something along the lines of not having hca would be concidered a failure).

Oh and winning records are cute. Have fun with that. Doesn't mean shit when you get swept. Real talk.

Well if we get swept that means we're in the playoffs... That all I expected and wanted this season. :D

Oh and how you like your Avatar? Fried or fertilized?

So you are happy with the Knicks just making a cameo appearance in the post-season?

Wow.
last year: 29 wins
This year: .500+ rec and Playoffs.

Baby steps. You'll kill for them once Lakers' downward spiral begins. Nobody goes worst-to-first in the NBA. I like how everyone conveniently forgot how half of GAF said Knicks won't even win 40 games this year. Y'all are trying to start shit that doesn't exist.

Thats what I expected at the start of the season based on the team we have. I wouldn't say happy but it's better than the last 10 or so years so I'll take it. I'm just wondering who these cats are trying to convince that the Knicks are not an elite team? Who's saying that?

I like how everyone conveniently forgot how half of GAF said Knicks won't even win 35 games this year. Y'all are trying to start shit that doesn't exist.
Thank you!
(and fixed)

Wow.

Why wouldn't he be? Anything that you say against that will not make sense given what the Knicks are right now.

Now if they happened to get Carmelo then we can talk.

Baby steps my ass.

Getting swept wouldn't make me happy/content as a fan.

There's a huge difference between going out in the playoffs like OKC last year and going out in the playoffs like the 5pur5 and Utar.

get over yourself. your dick can't be that small. I'm talking about how NY is so deep up its own ass that they've forgotten that mirrors even exist.

You know for a fact, as a fan, that NY's offense turns to shit whenever Amare takes time to blow his nose - why the fuck hasn't the coaching staff made any adjustments? Redirect shit all you want - I'm bringing up an issue, an obvious one to anyone who's objectively watching the game, but if you want to piss back and forth you'd probably be better off at realgm

I did, and I thought that LB wouldn't sabotage his own fucking team like the entire league has acknowledged. Paul Silas and Jordan have both went out of their way to apologize to DJ's family because shit was so bad. Tell me about another team thats been torn down by its own coach as much. I'd like to hear all about it.
Well if we get swept that means we're in the playoffs... That all I expected and wanted this season.
And? Going to the playoffs to get swept is like going to the strip club to get drinks.
Oh and how you like your Avatar? Fried or fertilized?
At first I was ready, but seeing the Knicks get slapped 5 out of 7 like this is kinda funny. I'll get back to you.

Yeah, one team was healthy got out in the first round and the other were injured and won a series.

Elite team? I wouldn't say the Knicks are elite: they're not. But they're a young team that's missing a few pieces and trying to learn on the go. What's the rush to make some moves? Last time Knicks were impatient it killed them for a decade... Walsh is behind the scenes looking at players (Ridnour/1st rounder) but he's just playing it safe now. The Knicks are decent in the same vein as the Hawks, but not elite.

I said making the playoffs, not getting swept.

Bosh doesn't bring STAT SWAGGER.

There maybe 6-8 elite teams in the entire league and Knicks aren't on the standby list.

... I'm saying Knicks aren't elite and you are saying Knicks aren't elite. What the fuck was the point of this post? They don't suck either. Unless you're saying Knicks on the Hawks' level, which isn't true.

Do they suck? No. Are they fundamentally broken? Yes - and they haven't even tried to fix shit.

The greatest troll was Blackace refusing to change your avatar until he felt like it.

Are you gonna make him eat it too one day?

Your exaclty right about the Amar'e thing, you have succesfully identified a problem that is stopping the Knicks from being better than they currently are. Wasn't arguing that...

But whatever I was just messing around with you. You shouldn't be so mean, you should be sweet.

D'Antoni rolling his eyes as his team goes down the court 8 points, bricks a 3 after 8 seconds run, go down the court, don't close out or rotate and get bombed.

They play themselves into a corner where they need so many things to go right against any team thats got a functioning offense and a defense good enough to keep Amare from putting up MVP numbers. Its a hot start, Amare is not an MVP type player. He never will be. To bank on him putting up those numbers all season long and not even attempting to polish the offense, since thats the only thing that the Knicks have going for them is just not only stupid, but its going to hurt that team in the long run.

The main thing that irks me is coach/FO hurting a team more than they're helping it.

So then what the fuck are you talking about? Eat a dick and hop off mine.

Boston?
Phoenix?
San Antonio?

All since 1997?
Boston - Major trade for Ray Allen/KG. plus 2nd year of Rondo. That team was ready to compete bigtime when the season started already.
Phoenix - D'Antoni's 2nd year of "7SOL". 2nd year of STAT + Joe Johnson/Q-rich/Nash/Marion/Joe Johnson and a rookie in Leandro Barbosa
San Antonio- You trollin' now. Greatest intentional tank job in NBA history, that team easily could've made playoffs previous year. Nabbed Duncan.

Every team you mentioned was ready to go talentwise before the season started. Knicks talent doesn't even come close to these teams...

He actually responded directly to what you said:

Nobody goes worst-to-first in the NBA.

That means nobody and doesn't define qualifiers.

Not his fault you were vague.

Really? Come back after ban trying to start up somethin, come at me with some bullshit that I didn't say, then sound like an idiot after acknowledging that I was right in the first place?

At least stay wrong. If you're going to troll like thekad, you gotta stay a fool to the very end. You're just wasting everyone's time otherwise....

Gee I didn't know I had to use qualifiers since "nobody" here cares to do the same (i.e. 2010 NBA Offseason thread).

now if Memphis wants to pull another Gasol and trade us a 1st rounder for Mozgov and we trade Curry/Walker/Gallo/1st rounder for Carmelo/Nene, then Knicks send Randolph for another 1st round that'd be really flukey! Let's fluke this shit up, Donnie! :D

... shut up, ryu.

Okay, NBA-Age, time to play "who is more legit." That is, whose record is more indicative of the available talent.

Magic - Spurs
Mavericks - Heat
Sixers - Pistons
Clippers - Bucks
Bobcats - Cavaliers
Knicks - Thunder
Hawks - Jazz
Lakers - Celtics
Nuggets - Bulls
Suns - Grizzlies
Wizards - Kings
Timberwolves - Raptors
Trailblazers - Rockets
Pacers - Hornets
Nets - Warriors
