^^ I think it was a calculation error. It was adding up the DISCOUNTED prices of the valve games, and then discounting that, instead of adding up the RETAIL prices and applying the discount.

I hear a lot of mentions about people spending like crazy during these deals, which I can understand, but it's quite remarkable that you can spend something like $10 and still come out with 3 or 4 solid games.

This is all new to me, so it's pretty cool.

I just can't wait until I have my PC so I can actually play these games, my shit won't even run The Misadventures.
Yeah it's pretty incredible. Including gifting I spent $228 last year and walked away with about 79 games. I have since played 14 of them.

The Oddbox is very tempting, too. But I bet that won't be the last time it's 50% off, and I don't have time anyway, so..... but still.

But everyone who doesn't buy Super Meat Boy is NUTS. Also: The Bad Company 2 US price rocks. Just a pity I'm from europe ;(

Is anyone else having a problem trying to purchase stuff? I'm trying to buy BFBC2 and Super Meat Boy, but every time I press the purchase button, I just get the error:

"Your purchase has not been completed. The payment processor has reported an authorization failure."

Looking for a someone from the US to gift Battlefield Bad Company 2 so I can give them the money over paypal.
I'm in the UK so if there's anything cheaper over here we could trade if you like.

For example Fear Complete Pack is equivalent of around $8.90 here.

Uh someone by the name of NaXXuS wants to be my friend?

Is this someone from GAF? :D

Update: Doesn't look like from GAF as he's not in the GAF group. Denied.

It's an insane holiday sale. Do you bitch about Best Buy when you go in on Black Friday and have to wait really long to get the the registers to check out?
Then explain why it works perfectly through the client but breaks down an dies via a web browser. The account creation itself being the worst (anything I typed even stuff like doesthisstupidthingactuallywork2156 was "taken" according to the website).

To use the Best Buy analog, going via one entrance there was no queue and everything works smooth and the other entrance, the till catches fire after it takes 5 minutes for no reason and you had to steal the keys from the other entrance to get in.

I might have gotten lucky but it seems like selective luck at best. /rantover
I was just frustrated, I've let it all out now, I'm good

Oh shit I just remembered I can view the entire Steam catalog and sort it by price. Now I can see all those random little bargains that are getting lost in the mix.

That was a mistake. :lol

I paid good money for this Dynex!
So is Tomb Raider Underworld worth getting? I heard it was like half a game, but I dunno if the DLC fleshes it out or if it's even in the PC version...

Wow, Santander suck balls. Long story short, they always block purchases on any site if I have 4 items in my basket at once. Tried buying all the PoPs, card got declined - but in reality, the payment still went through. Thankfully when I re-tried, Steam was kind enough to let me know that I had in fact already bought them, and that they were waiting in my library like porn awaits behind my toilet cistern.

Thank you Based Gabe.

So far, in for:

Oddboxx
Indie 2D Pack
PB Winterbottom
Caster
Blueberry Garden
Magnetis

and also gifted Super Meat Boy and PB Winterbottom to my son.

Really tempted to snag the FEAR Complete pack and Bad Company 2, but holding off for now.

It is a complete game and the DLC not on the PC just added to the ending, but is in no way necessary to enjoy the game.

No DLC for the PC version, but I thought the game was awesome. Quite a looker too if you can run it with loads of AA.

About to check out... cart currently includes:
PB Winterbottom
Prince of Persia (2008)
Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands Deluxe
HL2 Ep1
HL2 Ep2
Super Meat Boy
Oddboxx

I see that there are three different sections for the games and packs. Is there are time limit for each of the different sections?

How long will the pack in the green section last? I don't want to fuck up and lose the deals.

I played and enjoyed the hell out of Underworld on 360. I felt no need for DLC after I was done.

of course, I hadn’t played a TR game in years so I didn’t feel burnt out by the puzzles and traversal.

Steam on my mac has been horrible today. Been gifting games and it keeps stopping at the final page and doesn't proceed but it seems like people have been getting the games.

Haven't bought anything for myself yet but nothing really interests me for the Mac.

It's a very entertaining game. Better than Legend, but not as good as Anniversary. If you have a nice PC the architecture and textures will look amazing. It's definitely worth it, but I would wait for that last day, in case it pops up as a daily deal.

If you bought all the indie pack deals at $4.99 apiece, you'd have 55 games for $55, $1 apiece, less actually.

That's pretty crazy in my mind. And let me tell you, crazy is in my mind.

For the first time, a Steam sale is confusing to me. Are the individual Indie packs going to change every day, orrr..?

Yeah, this is the only part of the sale I'm not really clear on. Everything else is presented very logically.

Yes, of course, stupid me.

Almost unrelated but I didn't want to double post SW:TFU 2 is back up to $40, so the $20 I bought it at was a pricing mistake. KNEW IT. WOOT.

Just played about 30 minutes of Super Meat Boy.

If you don't buy this game then

How are the games in the Future Indie Pack? Specifically:

  • Twin Sector
  • Hacker Evolution
  • Hammerfight
  • Uplink
  • System Protocol One

Hacker Evolution sounds sweet if it strokes my cyberpunk penis.
I'm very curious about this as well, I haven't really heard anything about any of this games so any kind of feedback would be appreciated.

I just had a thought, it would really, really suck if someone bought a few hundred dollars worth of Dev. Bundles today, and tomorrow they won the 100 Game Grand Prize from the treasure hunt.

well this is starting off badly :lol

Super Meat Boy
BFBC2 (also grabbed Vietnam)
Oddboxx
PoP Forgotten Sands
P.B. Winterbottom
Deus Ex Complete

Total damage :$30.xx (not including Vietnam)

probably gonna get the Bethesda Pack at the end of the sale too

I have absolutely no control

Gonna wait a little bit and see if they fix the price on the PoP pack before buying them. Otherwise I'll probably just get PoP 2008, Sands of Time, and Forgotten Sands

edit: I got Deus Ex through the GFWLM deal earlier for a dollar or whatever, is it worth getting the Deux Ex Pack for $3 to get Invisible War? I have yet to play Deus Ex and I know Invisible War wasn't received all that well, but for $3...

So far...
Prince of Persia (Two Thrones;Sands of Time; Warrior Within; Cel-Shaded), FEAR complete, Magnetis, Indie (Future; Fantasy; Fright), Titan Quest Gold, one gift of BC2 and OddBoxx

Yeah... this'll be a fun week.

Just gotta say that after playing for 3 hours straight with VVVVVVV and Super Meat Boy I think they are ammmmmmaaaaaaaazing! Totally worth the money. It's a steal, actually.

Only thing is I hate the xbox pad, I need a new one as soon as possible, better if it's a 6 button one so I can use it for SFIV too. Can anyone recommend one that is under 50 euros, please?
