Inori doesn't seem like the forgiving type. She gives a warning, and then she empties the clip into you if you don't comply. I guess it's simpler that way, negotiating is for pussies.

Otherwise, this episode was the action payoff for the setup in the previous episode. Not-Jeremiah-Gottwald was predictably enjoyable, generic psycho mecha pilot was generically psycho and ineffectual,
This whole show is like a Michael Bay film, it's big and dumb and doesn't give a fuck what detractors think of it. When you've got a budget quite as big as Production I.G. has, you can pretty much do whatever you want, and that's pretty much what they are doing.

And Sena wants to know how to trigger Kobato's flag. She clearly is a switch-hitter. Rika is still awesome, but I guess it's too early for her to hang around lots of people. Yozora is the same. I'll admit I can be a bit claustrophobic at large gatherings myself, so I can identify.

The full version of "sky's the limit" is kind of disappointing. I should have expected that though, the longer versions of all Shoji Meguro OP songs are all disappointing. The full version of "Beauty of Destiny" is much better, mainly because of Dat Lotus Juice.

They managed to completely misdirect the story away from Shoma for 3/4ths of the show and no one batted an eye despite the fact that he's the main character. Well played Ikuhara.
