Just started playing ME2 to prepare for the new ending on ME3. First time playing. Decided to screencap a few things, just because. It's downsampled from 1440p, my native resolution. Also using the higher resolution character models.

I've seen many people post screen shots of Hot Pursuit in this thread without the HUD.. how is it done?

I have that mod that says that it removes the HUD and makes the lights more realistic using TexMod to apply it.. but when I use it nothing happens?

Can't you just set it to take screenshots the moment you press the button?
Yep, but then you usually just get still shots of your character standing there against a pretty backdrop or cutscenes. Don't me wrong, you can still get fantastic shots, but it tends to look static as opposed to captured gameplay.

Perhaps you could bind the screenshot key to a mouse button, or a key close to your movement keys.

Yes, there is, but it was release at the same time as the game in 2010. I used it when the game first released and it worked as advertised. However, I think maybe they changed the game with a patch or something and now it doesn't work. I have since reinstalled the game a few times since 2010.

The first version of the game is the only one compatible with the mod, meaning the Steam version isn't. I used it to make this video right after release, but I can't use it anymore. Maybe there's a way to downgrade your version like with GTA4, though.

The rumblings about a PSN release of Vice City made me nostalgic for my favourite 3D GTA installment. With a few mods it's slightly less ugly and becomes playable.

So I got my new GeForce 570 (nice little upgrade from my Radeon 6870) and now I'm finally on the good side!

Quick question. I was playing around Assassin's Creed Revelation earlier and it's nice to be able to run it smoothly with everything maxed out but I do have a small problem with the textures. Everytime I run around in town I can see a line in the textures moving along with me approx. 10-15yards in front of me. I don't know how you call that issue but anybody know how I can fix that?

It's kinda a hard to explain but hopefully somebody will understand what I mean.

sounds like the engine updating the texture level of detail, it's standard practice to only render the nearest area with the highest resolution textures. See if you can find a setting for mip maps and play around with it. alternatively make sure you have AF enabled or increase it to a higher level.

Is NS2 worth the 35 asking price

Looks really interesting but I've heard that it's more like an alpha at this point

Its alpha was more of a pre-alpha, and the beta launch was more of an alpha.

That said. I would say it's a proper beta now, they say they want to do a full release late summer which seems a tad early, but if you like some natural selections, there is a lot of fun to be had with it currently.
