Is the game looking that good just from downsampling or any specific tweaks to the user.ini?

Do you have sharpen on?

Even with ubersampling the game doesn't look that good here (I just played on the arena though). I'll try downsampling from 1440p today.

Just to look at though, with uber on it runs at 30~38 fps in 1080p, I'd rather leave it off to run at 60, it's so good <3

It was a completely fresh install, didn't touch the .ini file and here's my settings.

max settings with 16x csaa - plus its downsampled

game offers fxaa, msaa, csaa, and txaa though

a 680 should be able to do 1080p maxed at 120fps

Holy shitballs, now we're talking. Those BO2 shots look great.

Especially the first one. Dat rifle.

The weapon models look great. But other than that ... you cant be serious. The game is embarrassingly bad looking. The ground textures look like an unshaded drawing on a sheet of paper.

It looks at good as I expect a Call of Duty would look IMO.

And I was more so referring to how clean it looked.

So it's all about the downsampling then? It doesn't do that much for Sleeping Dogs!

I won't even try to downsample it then so I won't cry when I have to play in 1080p.

This looks so stunning...

I tried running The Witcher 2 with those settings. Still not as impressed, I guess Arena Mode just doesn't look that good?

I was surprised to see I can mantain 30fps with those settings though lol

No, I never liked the look of the arena. I think some parts of the main game looks much better.

Ah, makes sense.

I've got the Project Parallax but I detest Skyrim HD. So that's why I don't recognize the parallax textures.

Jasmin's looking good since I last used it...

Wish someone would work on more parallax mapping in the game.

Here's my parallax shot from a while ago....

Holy crap that looks amazing! I'm really digging the fog and how the light interacts with it. Are you only using Jasmin and Project Parallax?

You can run at that resolution plus Extreme AA with decent framerates?

I only use 1440p + Normal AA or 1080p + High AA to keep 60fps.

Heck no, I am just playing around with it now to see how far I can push it before shit starts to explode in my computer. Got about 10fps with that shit. :p I need to start saving up some cash now so I can get a GTX 770 when it's released so I can play at crazy resolutions and get a decent framerate.

When I actually play the games and not just try to grab some screenshots I always do what I can to maintain 60fps.

I'd be in the dick
Looking at the Blops 2 shots, I take it Treyarch was just talking out of their ass when they said it would have DX11 features? I don't see any and the textures look significantly lower res than the past few games. They usually look pretty great on PC.

Also, fucking LOL at the naked angel mod

^I really need to play Spec Ops.

I love the deep snowy fog. Picture a massive mech silhouette appearing in a snowstorm and advancing on you. (Sadly it's not quite deep enough for that kind of effect =P)

WAT

Eerything in the game looks like plastic and all shiney. The game only has normal maps for christ sakes. No material settings almost

I don't see it. I prefer it to the ugly gloss that seemed to be put on everything in Crysis 2 and The Witcher 2. Then again I'm always in the minority when it comes to this stuff.

For those ATI users, the latest beta of RadeonPro has SweetFX built into it, so you can configure both that and all your CFX/AA goodness from the one application! Woo!
