I didn't, really, it's the time of day and probably some motion blur or something. Taken at 1080 and also using SMAA and sharpen from the SweetFX package, so nothing special. Too bad the game's performance is appalling or else I'd just downsample :<

My underwear can't take that much Project Cars goodness. Shit's filthy.

3840x2400? Is that somekind of photomode setting of Project Cars or is that the setting you use in the nvidia control panel? Never seen any mainstream monitor that can go above 3840x2160, my dell u2312hm stops at 3800x1600 and my old dell u2711 couldn't even go above its 2560x1440 native res.
Custom resolution in Nvidia Control Panel. That's on my U3011.

so I installed win8 (because its only 30 bucks) and was pleasantly surprissed that it did not mess with most of my stuff.
And then I noticed that I wasnt able to properly downsample anymore so I checked my drivers and saw that it got reverted back to the stock one.
(using amd and a TV I had to use custom drivers to downsample)
No big deal, so I went ahead and tried to install my custom drivers again but guess what windows 8 does not allow you to install unsigned custom drivers...
In the end I managed to install them anyway but god was it a pain to figure out.
Here is the proces if in case somebody is interested:
Open cmd as admin and type:
shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00
this will restart your pc and give you the choice to go into troubleshooting, there you have to choose advanced-options and then choose startup-options.
Once you did all that you are given the option to restatrt again.
After doing that choose "7" to start windows without the protection against unsigned drivers.
After you did all that you can finally install custom display drivers....
WTF?
Were there actually that many people that ran into problems because of custom drivers that you have to make it that hard to install them?!?

Sorry chief as long as the consoles are 16:9, or rather tvs, my pc monitor is gonna follow suite :[ I'm old and jaded and deep inside think that no multiplatform games support 16:10.
Well, the only game I've ever come across that doesn't support 16:10 is UbiSoft games. Fucking black bars.
Any way, random BF3. Now I'm just posting shitty shots to mess around with the downsampling.
And who play Ubisoft games these days anyway. They killed all my favorite series.

That's why I'm not buying AC3 despite really, really wanting it. So unless someone gift it to me or I can get it for free, I'm not giving them any money.
Ubisoft really shits on PC gamers constantly, I almost popped when they turned Silent Hunter from a fantastic game into some half-arsed sub sim with incorrect uniforms and lots of bugs. IL2 was also destroyed by their grubby hands, they even wanted some anti-epilepsy filter in the game which made it unplayable, believe it took ages before it was optional.
And then the "All PC gamers are pirates" sort of mentality, getting games a month later and they aren't even 16:10 compatible.

D3DOverrider just does nothing and FXAA/SMAA injectors make every game crash
I was playing Dead Space perfectly fine yesterday with an FXAA injector but now it's fucked.
I wish I could turn the UI completely off, but apparently it wont let you.
What's the point of the compass if you are so fucking railroaded?
Climb up the tree along with a ton of markers telling you where to go and what to do, constant banter from the characters treating you like an idiot.

I have strange dll problems as well (downsampling still does not work properly, I have to adjust my screen resolution in windows or Skyrim etc. will just cut of the edges / Dark Souls will play the intro no mater what) but in generall it does work and I have all updates installed and use windows defender as well.
Sinatar, how's prototype? I've always wanted to try those games out, I really like how they remind me of urban Just Cause 2, just wrecking havoc all over the place.
Though I've heard the performance is awful and nowadays I'd rather play a mediocre game with flawless performance than playing an quadruple-A game that runs like shit.

If you are using FRAPS well it breaks SweetFX for me under Win8.

Ok, turning off Bandicam lets me use injectors again. Unfortunately I just can't get D3DOverrider to work at all though.
Thanks for the tip.
Forced AO through Nvidia Inspector and some old ENB, you can get it over at the New Vegas Nexus.
