Man I bought Endless Space...I have no clue wtf I'm doing, I finally figured out how to create more ships and merging ships nto fleets. But moving ships to new stars/planets is just wtf.

Hah thank god for my friend and fellow gaffer Tyrantguardian who ran me through the basics of the game because it is pretty complex and/or convoluted at times. Starting to slowy, sloooowly, get my head around the different aspects of the game.

You and everyone else here. That fucking 360 exclusive contract was the worst piece of business they could have ever done, think how much they could have made cross platforming for a generation.

Main graphical mods i'm using are:

ENB series for New Vegas version 0.121, with this Trillville preset applied and SSAO disabled (too buggy)
NMC texture pack
Western Sky
More Grass
EVE
Wasteland Flora Overhaul


Those are the main ones I think. Also it's downsampled from 2560x1440, no AA (I couldn't get SMAA to work without crashing because I use the 4gb launcher, NVSE and the stutter remover script. Real AA is unsupported by ENB). I locked the framerate at 30 using the 1/2 vsync setting in Nvidia Inspector and it is perfect.

As for gameplay i'm running Project Nevada and i've set up a bunch of dynamic HUD stuff using iHUD and aHUD. And also a bunch of little mods which don't affect the looks.


If you are going to mod, be prepared for headaches at getting it all to work with each other. My whole game is one big jury rigged setup that i'm very surprised is now mostly stable.

I will eventually when I'm pretty much final about the settings. I'm constantly changing things and learning ENB.

Different settings for daytime and night time is quite a bless!

Ehhh? The blacks are not crushed in those shots. If you're seeing pitch black in those shots you may have a bad or poorly calibrated monitor.

But Diablo 3 is a Grim dark game. Blackness is allowed, but as pointed out that's not crushed black.

It's also in my blood to crush blacks. In non Grim dark games where they do not belong.

I was about to say I wonder how many people complaining about crushed blacks just need to calibrate their monitor. AVSForum has some free tools you can use.

I did search their forums first before asking, but could you direct me to these tools? The search of the forums for calibration returned calibrate monitor gave me results in the tens of thousands.
