exarkun: Yeah, I doubt Morey trades Morris without at least giving him a shot.

I still don't see how he puts them over the top. And they're then getting very... stuck with that roster.

If they decide they have no shot at Deron or Dwight next summer, then might as well waste the next 3 years with the 4th seed rather than the 9th.

if lin inspires a win tonight i will officialy resurrect, nay TRANSLATE myself back into a knicks fan.

i havent been a knicks fan since:

ward, grant (or something) spreewell, camby. god that game was sick when it came out

How nice of you to come back after 10+ years.

Please clarify what you mean by "over the top".

Over the top usually means getting over that last hurdle to a championship. So I am confused as to why you would use those words when speaking of the Houston Rockettes. Simply does not compute.

Edit: Just saw that Kad mentioned Deron and Dwight. Now, if they somehow miraculously landed both of them guys... that would put them over the top.

Too bad they're coming to Los Angeles.

Lollinger on Rubio just now was one of the worst things Ive ever seen.

Basically hes the 29th PG in PER, so he goes to say he believes he is exactly that, the 29th best PG in the NBA.

Somebody get me a sniper rifle.

Gonna need a list of the 28 pgs who are better than Rubio.

1. Chris Paul
2. Derrick Rose

Just saw the highlights of the Lakers, Mavs game. I think the Lakers fans need to relax. This team is fine and i think you can't rule them out for a great run in the playoffs.

They have enough length that they should put up enough fight against most teams, and last night showed that Kobe doesn't always need 25+ to win. I would be worried about OKC though. KD and YNB can consistently make almost any jump shot, who's going to defend them? And with Harden on the floor? Massacre.

I wouldn't trade Pau either. Keep this core together another year or two, they might surprise you guys.

Are you insane? Laker fans know that outside of Kobe, Pau and Bynum they've got some of the worst players in the entire league getting significant minutes.

Maybe they'll get swept in the first round instead of the second this time?

lol, took Fisher's best game of the year and probably Pau's too to win that game with Kobe struggling.

If the Lakers still had Lamar of last season, I'd agree. But a 3 man team won't cut it.

As long as they help out a little bit. A little bit a couple steve blake 3's, a few matt barnes jumpers as long as no one is actively bringing the ship down with terrible turnovers or exceptionally terrible defense, which i think can happen they'll be fine. They just need to play to their strength of length and not do anything fancy.

I am now waiting for Hollinger to make an article about why the Nets have the best PG tandem in the league and why Farmar needs to start for about half the teams in the league.

You know whats a really good idea guys? Using team assist ratios to ESTIMATE player stats, when those same player stats are readily available already. And to reject an objectively superior and more robust stat like APER just cause it was thought up by somebody else!
