Melo doesn't play D and I can't think of a single time that he looked mad about losing. In a lockout shortened season where he just missed over 5 games I'd hope his only focus was on winning a chip with the Knicks and that includes talking about it...
Oddly it looks like the same teams from the East that made the playoffs last year are gonna be the same teams this year, barring a collapse from Boston or Orlando

Yeah, it's pretty fucking obvious that he's avoiding the team right now. I felt bad at first when I heard his dad was sick, however, now that we know it was just a stomach illness but he still hasn't shown back up, screw the guy. I'd love for Cubes to trade him to the Hornets since Odom has already told us how much he hated the idea of going to NO in the first trade.
Far be it for me or any other Knicks fan to defend him too much, but to be fair, he was in the middle of the game and I'm sure he was asked that same question hundreds of times through out the weekend.
Plus, don't ignore the balance he brought to the starting line up introduction. You had an apathetic Rose along with LeAppletini who was busy tap dancing the cha-cha. Melo had the right mix of vibing and game face. Everyone keeps ignoring this.

Enough with the way he supposedly made them gut their roster... He did not. Help comes. They now have 6 or 7 legitimate rotation players on the bench... It's been a while since the last time the Knicks had that much depth, probably since Childs - Sprewell - Scott - Camby - Dudley...
