Um.. No he doesn't. He plays SF, who can give you mins at the two.. But he is not a SG no matter who your coach is..
Wolves have league worst wing production...You want Budinger to play 48 minutes?

Signing batum does not keep us from grabbing a SG and Rid can play spot minutes there if he's not traded

Holy fuck, I'm back. Damn storm cut off my electricity for almost 2 days. Anything interesting happen since Friday night?

Welcome back.

Free agency kicked off at midnight. GMs making the exact same decisions that got the league locked out just last year. Hilarity ensuing.

The only thing I'd be worried about is that you're hoping he's gonna play until he's 41 without the help of the Lazarus Pit in Phoenix.
Well, last year we signed Alex Mckechnie, formerly with the Lakers, to be our head of sports science/fitness (that sort of thing) and he's worked closely with Nash in the past. So I'm not that worried there.

Hibbert-4 years, $58 million offer from Blazers
Asik-$8 million a year offer from Rockets
Nash-3 years, $36 million probable offer from Raptors
Wallace-4 years, $40 million from Nets
Gordon-Looking for 4 years, $58 million
Batum-4 year, $50 million offer from Timberwolves

I wouldn't have traded for Budinger in the first place...

Also having him, Williams, and Webster is already logjam at 3 adding Bat doesn't really help a lot... They should invest in a SG at all cost then sign a piece like Bat.. Over paying Bat isn't the way to get better

According to Broussard, Miami is offering Ray Allen 2yrs/6million and the Celtics offer doubles that and give 2yrs/12million.

Williams isn't a three though and Webster sucks and will be cut soon.

Batum likely won't help a ton. He can shoot 3's but i would have him more at the SF. At his best, he's slashing his way to the basket or posting up a bit.

Rarely is he taking jump shots at all, when he does it's fade away clunkers. Maybe Rubio is enough of a threat to make him a 3pt specialist but i don't think Batum would be great for you guys.

Wait, the Wolves actually offering Batum 12.5M/yr??

The guy is valuable but no way in shit is he worth over double-digit millions.

All aboard! The Love train!
Williams played a lot of 3 for them because he needs the mins and so does Love..

Well, Williams didn't play much 3 last year, but he will this season, if he isn't traded. He's been training to become a 3.

I agree with your premise, though: the Wolves need a 2. More than anything. Malcolm Lee is the only one on the roster and we can't go into camp like that.

Glad to see the new CBA fixed shit.

The only thing that could make this more hilarious is someone trading for Joe Johnson.

About that...

Despite Portland's clear stance that re-signing Batum is a major priority, a recent comment by Ndiaye couldn't have helped. After Olshey compared Aldridge and Batum to the Clippers' Blake Griffin and Chris Paul as far as being "bedrock" players for their respective franchises, Ndiaye told The Oregonian, "I like that. Give me Chris Paul money and we will not be fighting too long. Just close your eyes and choose between Chris Paul and Blake Griffin and I'll be fine with that. Give me one of those contracts and you'll have a deal."

lololololololololololololololololol

They couldn't let him walk either, not after trading a lottery pick to get him.

That's what makes it hilarious. First he trades a lottery pick for an average player. Then he gives him a four year deal that pays him well over his value at this point.......

Billy King = incompetent GM.......

The Joe Johnson-Gerald Wallace-Brook Lopez triumvirate is going to be difficult to stop.

I'm not sure how the Heat will deal with their size.

more money than God
The Rockets throwing a huge deal at Asik would be a god-send for the Bulls. He is a strong defensive presence, but his hands are cinder blocks and he is dumb as a board. His turn-over rate was absurdly high last year at almost 1 our of every 4 touches.
Many Bulls fans want him resigned even at that price.

Our fanbase is full of idiots, man!

He played some mins at 3 last season, didn't he? But they have plans for him there this season..

They need to sign maybe two SGs....

This where I would say I am glad we aren't doing anything but deep down I know Spencer Hawes for 10 mil a year is right around the corner...

god why.

Also, I told you people that Harden and Ibaka would command max deals on the open market.

Not saying it's justified, but look at the money getting thrown around.

I've also come to the realization that we won't be able to keep Ibaka unless we amnesty Perkins, and we still maybe won't if we do.

Nets, Hawks could reach a decision on possible Joe Johnson deal today, sources tell Y! If trade doesn't happen, Nets will push for OJ Mayo.
Oh man. Please make this happen, I need a good laugh today.

It is incredible how stupid like 90% of NBA GMs/Owners are. Every offseason any free agent that can put up numbers gets PAID.

Harden would be overpaid. Ibaka would not. OKC will get both of them to stay.

I forgot how awesome it was when the Jazz made these guys play dressed as beer cans.

I don't know why people are still surprised about players getting "overpaid" in the Free Agency. It's been like this for a while. Truth is, most teams have to overpay if they aren't a contender or marquee market. If every player is getting overpaid in the Free Agency, it's not really overpaying.

If he doesn't we just build a pedestal out front of the ACC and make him stand on it before games until midway through the 1st quarter.

Then we can move it inside to bring out for halftime.
