I forget that this is Glen Grunwald's 1st Knicks FA (last year Walsh handled most of the work until the draft ended, then H20 and Grunwald worked in tandem), so I'm confused about his scouting eye. He definitely knows his Euro players, so I trust him on Papanangu. But the way the roster looks it's going to be open tryout for the Knicks roster this August. I better get back into shape so I can hopefully be 2nd /3rd string PG.

I like a Reke like player for 6th or 7th man..

But in the playoffs, there's not much point for a gunning sixth man since he's supposed to replace the offense that leaves when the star goes to the bench or when intensity dies down. Neither thing happens much in the playoffs. Guys like Harden and Manu are great and efficient and work without the ball as well so they can still play at high level, but I don't think Rivers or Wroten or Tyreke would be effective at all in a playoff series.

Deron's a great player, but I think he's getting injured too much recently and is too much of a total nonfactor on defense at best (though basically all PGs other than Lowry and Rubio and some bench guys are) to be a clear cut top ten player right now I would say. He's definitely right in contention and around there though.

Also, Kaman is terrible and should not be a considered a replacement option for anyone.
