Dirk was definitely slow last year. I dunno if it was just because of the shortened off season or what. The main problem with his game was the he couldn't get open shots as easy because he was a lot slower.

The fact is, you don't want to commit 5 years of your prime to a guy who slipped like Dirk did last year. Of course, the same thing could be said of Joe Johnson, but whatever.

The Cuban master plan needs to be to tank this season, get a top 10 pick, and then sign Howard next year year when he becomes an UFA. It would be the ultimate troll to the Lakers, he'd be a hero to NBA fans everywhere (except with Laker fans of course).

Yeah Dirk uses his length and what little speed he had to get off shots... If he loses that than he's a lot less of a problem.
