You mean in my nightmares; I'm against the kitchen sink trade that's been floating around.

But the Rockets have capspace, KMart's $12 million contracts, plenty of filler contracts, and possibly even a trade exception from a Dragic S&T. Lin signing doesn't change anything.

The Rockets have room to completely overhaul their roster. They have lots of talented young players.

The Knicks are the oldest team in the NBA. They are prime for another decade of irrelevance.

Knicks have no future game plan and they always trade away their picks. It won't be reversed in 3 years.

The Knicks weren't winning anything regardless if they kept or lost Lin. They're going to lose in the first-round until Chandler breaks down and then they'll have to rebuild again.

edit: Why do New York people still think CP3 will come to New York, how does this make any sense in their world? He would have to sign for the minimum and whether or not Lin was signed would have no effect on getting CP3.

Lin clearly wanted out. He could have structured the deal differently with Houston. He could've went to the Knicks front office and tried to work something out. Knicks are taking too much shit for this when the kid wanted out:

Both parties are to blame here. I think Knicks are like 75% to blame, Lin 25%.
