2012 NBA Playoffs |OT2| OKC VS LA: Black on Black Crime

Interesting timing for us to be making (foolhardy) Jordan/Kobe comparisons just a few hours before the Lakers are dealt another humiliating, blowout loss.

Once again, Laker fans are delusional when reality is staring them plain in the face.

Also, two of Kobe's rings, the ones with Gasol, were on arguably the weakest Championship team of the past 20 years behind Wade and Shaq's Heat.

The most non-memorable Finals Game 7 performance of all time will be his as well.

because its not like those teams had a great overall core of players and a deep bench

MJ was stupid consistent offensively because he stayed within his limits (as high as they were). He knew what he was great at and simply stuck to it.

Kobe has tossed up a million stupid shots, which killed his shooting %, just because he felt like doing it. Fuck it.

Kobe has hit so many ZOMG shots though that I wouldn't have it any other way. I ride with Mamba, good or bad. The dude has done so much dope shit over his career and it's already been forgotten.

Oh well.

At least hs did all without PEDs. Haha, fuck Jordan yo.

Generally the only people I've ever come across, even among Laker fans, who think Kobe > Jordan were those not old enough to have watched MJ and understand what they were watching.

Hell, I tried to deny it for a long time as it was happening. So bitter about '91.

I think that's what it really comes down to.

Jordan ended the Magic era in Los Angeles.

Yup. Growing up that's why I hated him. Passionately. Refused to accept how great he was. He ended Magic.

Truth be told, I was converted on his sick game. I changed everything I thought about him from that one game alone. I realized how foolish I had been (granted I understood basketball more by then than when I was 10).

This is why I can't hate any great players for their on court (non flopping these days) stuff. I realized it was better to appreciate how great these players are, even if they're rivals, than to just watch them thinking they are overrated and such (unless they truly are like Ellis).

Which is why despite hating Portland, I loved Roy. And why I still defend Cp3 and hope for Blake. And while I will clown on Lebron, it's mostly because he should be so much better than he is and I feel cheated.

I'm shocked at how much scoring there's been.

I'm shocked at the effort both teams put in. Now that's playoffs basketball. Pierce struggling, but still getting two in your face dunks and some more fouls... Rondo willing his team back into the game with outside shooting... Jrue playing like KJ with a 3 point shot... Loved it.

Remember that time Jordan drug Smush, Kwame, Luke and the rest of that garbage squad to the playoffs? Yeah, me neither, but I do remember Jordan playing for the Wizards and getting his shit slapped.

Fucking troll, GTFO of here. '87 Bulls had John Paxson as their third best player, followed by great players such as Brad Sellers and Dave Corzine. They still went to the playoffs.

John PAXSON!

Same shit team next season, with Sam Vincent and they won FIFTY. The guy just dumped it to Michael every time and got assists by knowing not to try shit.

How old was Jordan with the Wizards?

You must be a white girl from Colorado.

Kobe has never had a single year as good as MJ's worst year on the Bulls

Unless Mike averaged better than:

35.4, 5.3, 4.5

...every year as a Bull...

You are wrong.

So, yeah... you are wrong. You would be wrong like 10 times actually.

Don't be an ass.

Man, the love/hate battles over Kobe are amazing. Have to admit, I've always underrated him, but didn't really realise it until this year (of all years).

More PPG != better. MJ was always way more efficient than Kobe and could have easily averaged more points than Kobe if he wanted to chuck as much as him. And MJ wasn't a lousy defender the latter half of his career like Kobe is.

Around the time Rose went on Holidays for a year.

:(

I was really sad when the injury first happened, but the recent news that he'll be out for all of next season hit me even harder. Probably the saddest I've ever been from a non-Spur injury. I like Rose a lot, he could easily be a Spur with his "so humble" personality, and frankly I wouldn't have minded if he and the Bulls were the team of the future when we do our eventual rebuild.

Its tragic. Seeing his tortured face as he was watching the CHI-PHI series was depressing as all hell. I hope he comes back at 100%.

You mean 3-time NBA champion John Paxson?
