So apparently Wade complained that the Pacers celebrated after winning the last game? Fuck that shit, how about celebrating eight titles before you play a game, you dumbass. Just be happy you're not getting a two game suspension for playing like you're Troy Polamalu.

This.

When the man formerly known as Ron Artest has to bail you out in the game to decide the title on your home floor, that ring gets tarnished. Just a little.
No it doesn't. Not even a little. That game 7 is always so overblown. So overblown...

The man did almost everything right save for shoot the ball well. Hell, speaking of scoring, he still managed to score the most points in the 4'th quarter and the most points overall. But let's pretend that didn't happen...

It's really sad when I see people who claim to be basketball fans harping on a players performance based solely on his shooting percentage and ignoring everything else they did like it didn't matter. The guy grabs 15 rebounds(A fucking guard) in a series that has been decided by rebounding margins and does it with three 7 footers in the game no less, scores the most points in the 4'th quarter, scores the most points overall, plays great defense.

But.. it's not good enough. He didn't shoot the ball well after all. Never mind the fact that he wasn't the only one shooting like total ass in that game. It's almost as if a gritty 7 game series is exhausting or something.. Imagine that!

But nah, fuck it, Kobe just choked and didn't show up to play. Continue the narrative.

I'm just going to say by the end of Kobes career he can be right there with Jordan. Another championship, all time scoring, making with team mates better (which he is starting to really do). Etc.

Anyway, watching this current game online is quite amazing. I need to do this more often.

I was really sad when the injury first happened, but the recent news that he'll be out for all of next season hit me even harder. Probably the saddest I've ever been from a non-Spur injury. I like Rose a lot, he could easily be a Spur with his "so humble" personality, and frankly I wouldn't have minded if he and the Bulls were the team of the future when we do our eventual rebuild.

Its tragic. Seeing his tortured face as he was watching the CHI-PHI series was depressing as all hell. I hope he comes back at 100%
.

This here gives me more hope and tells you a lot about the guy really. He wasn't just depressed that HE was injured, but you could tell he genuinely distressed that he couldn't get out on the court and help his team.

Maybe i'm seeing what i want to in the guy because i really like him as a player, but thats the vibe i got from him. I have every faith he'll turn the time off to his advantage.

He should invite Westbrook and show him what a real point-guard is like.

If Boston is gonna get away with these shoves, I'll accept flopping to make the refs actually call something.

No.

No he can't.

These comparisons to me are the same as the Tom Brady = Joe Montana discussions in football. Y'all know what you watched back then...these guys were simply in another dimension as far as their abilities and how they used them in the eras they played in.

But he has a chance to be the only player ever that could have an argument made about that, and have it not be entirely ridiculous. Like, if Jordan is an S-rank player, Kobe can potentially get to AAA-rank with another ring/the scoring record, and then we can start at AA-rank for the other greats.

I highly doubt he'll miss all of next year.

In fact, the team doctor said it'll be better if he gets on the court because he has to relearn how he moves and gain confidence once again.

They won't rush him though which is rather obvious.

Didn't they say 10-12 months?

(and if I were you, I'd be deathly scared that they might just rush him)

Srsly: "Kobe's best year was worse than MJ's worst year as a bull"

Supreme1: *posts stats of Kobe's best year, when he completely dominated and did things that year that MJ never did*

Srsly: "Points =/= better. MJ could've scored more if he wasn't a chucker like Kobe"

Supreme1: "Ah, coulve/would've... ok"

Srsly: "I feel sorry for you because you are the dur hur and no comprende."

Supreme1: Alrighty then. Moving on... >.> <.<

What, what?

He had a stretchof games that put him in company with only Wilt. Just pointing out how dominant he was that year.

Not saying anything more.

Edit: What Cloudy said

But yeah, SRSLY is right... MJ's worst is still better than Kobe's best!! RIGHT?!

"Are they really still doing this Kobe vs MJ shit? Really?"

"Yeah, you know they bored as hell. Let's watch what happens this time."

Okay? So... are you saying Kobe has never done things that MJ didn't either?

A simple one: 13 treys in a game

MJ ever do that? No. Who cares... it doesn't matter. Just pointing out the mindset of people who refuse to admit that MJ isn't the best at every facet of the game or that he doesn't hold all records or is part of every little club.

Nice to see Boston not screwing around anymore. They watched the game last night and were like, "Shit, we can make the Finals lol"

Yeah, I agree with a lot of this. Kobe will never be equally comparable to MJ. It's just not going to happen.

Honestly, that's never been my personal gripe with the whole MJ/Kobe argument. I've always conceded that MJ is better. Because he just fucking is. The thing that always bugs me about these conversations are people who act like Kobe shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as His Airness. Like he can't even hold his god damn jockstrap.

And that shit, to me, is absolutely fucking ridiculous.

you're erecting tiny strawmen and shattering them awesomely.

you have a giant hard-on right now, eh?

no, Kenny. no. don't do this.

That was pretty cool. No one else showed up to the Hang out so it was really just Coach Nick and I talking basketball in general for 15 minutes

81 points, Averaged 40 for a month etc. And the next year he had 4 straight 60 pt games. MJ never did that

Yet Kobe's PER the year he averaged 35 and scored 81 against the Raptors (lol) was lower than MJ's career PER if you take out MJ's seasons with the Wizards. And let's not forget that PER rewards relentless chucking, which is why Kobe's PER was as high as it was that season. MJ was always more efficient. MJ's 63 point game against a stacked Celtics team in the playoffs was way more impressive than anything Kobe did in the regular season.

I assume you stuck your tongue out when on the basketball court as a youth, eh?

You know you did.
Everyone did. Again, who gives a shit. Not arguing Mamba is the GOAT or better than MJ. Just calling SRSLY out on his statement that MJ's worst is better than Kobe's best. So relax, even MJ himself said it's okay to compare Kobe to him. That's gotta count for something, no?

But yeah, hard ons and what not...

I like how somebody made a ridiculous statement, ie, Jordan's worst season is still better than Kobe's best, and when supreme presented evidence to the contrary, a bunch of people jumped on him as if he's saying Kobe's better than MJ and conveniently changed the argument.

Of all the things he could have pointed out, he shows an open jump shot not going in.

Alright Kenny.

Well, in fairness, the 6'ers would be better if they could hit open jumpers.

In truth, vets should know better than to bother replying to stupid trolls like srsly's crap.

Okay, so congrats - Kobe's best season is not worse than Jordan's worse.
Plus, Kobe scored 81 in a game once, and averaged 40 for a month - Jordan never did that.

Now that we've established that stuff, are Jordan and Kobe comparable?

Didn't they say 10-12 months?

8-12 months it says in the Chicago Tribune today.

The doctor said that some return to how they were pre-injury as soon as 6 months and some take years to get back as a lot of it's mental.

No chance they rush him, Brian Cole said if he's not ready, they'll just delay.

Knowing Derrick, he'll be "ahead" of schedule but they'll make sure they calm down his anxiousness.

I mean, after all, he is the franchise.

It starts and ends with him.
