Oh god, the shot TNT just showed of Brown smiling and clapping in the middle of the Lakers huddle would be a great gif.

Nah. Kobe's still my boy. Too many good moments to let a few bad ones tarnish his image in my eyes.

We weren't going to win this series whether he made every shot he put up in that last 2 minutes and we won the game. But you never want to see your team lose games like that.

Yep. Thats a better way to explain how I feel. I am disappointed they lost and how they lost but am not mad. They arent that good of a team at the end of the day. I'm only mad when the team doesnt reach its potential and this team met its potential. A second round exit.

This team isnt 2010 Boston. They dont have the fire and need to prove others wrong. You can see it in their play. They are coached by Mike Brown. Their play is inconsistent as all hell. Sorry.

Steam cursed this one. Here I am daring to believe and I see CS throw up "Lakers are winning this" and then I knew...If Steam believes and I believe were screwed.

True.

Now...I need a hundred percent honesty from the Laker fans, will Kobe retire a Laker?

Can't believe I stayed up to 6AM to watch this game, the western conference is always on so late. It was almost worth it if the Lakers won. Oh well.

Not to the same extent, but it would be frustrating. Sure, at some point it becomes just attrition with the losses, but were you not pissed after Tim Thomas? I mean, come on.

lakers steal this game, I still think OKC wins. But they had a legit shot at it.

Please. 2010 Boston walked into the playoffs looking like they wanted to go home. Went 50% for like 2 months. Stop with this revisionism.

After after tonight, how can you say they had no fight?

I was extremely dissappinted with Tim Thomas as well as San Antonio, Houston in 1995, etc. but upset? No. I'm not going to be upset with a team for being what they are. Sorry. I was very upset with Detroit, Boston, etc.

What's ironic is that us NBA-GAF spent most of the day debating MJ vs. Kobe comparisons... :lol :lol :lol

This loss is totally on Kobe.
- Throwing the ball away (turnover)
- Miscommunication with Blake (turnover)
- Bad 3 point shot
- Wasting almost the entire clock with 18 sec left
- Sulking instead of immediately fouling after Blake's miss.

If Kobe just avoided making 1-2 of those mistakes, the Lakers win easily.

While Lebron becomes the Cowardly Lion in the clutch, tonight Kobe became the Scarecrow. He totally lost his brain. It was like looking at a second or third year player. I'd expect something like this from Derek Rose (RIP), but not Kobe.

I feel we could have won in 6 if we held on tonight. OKC would start feeling pressure. Now it's a sweep or 5 games at best. Just depressing. What a horrible way to lose. Basic freakin' basketball. Can't assume the game is over and get casual.

Really feel bad for the guys cos we played perfect ball and just gave it away.

No, you're definitely right. It sucks but what the hell do you do now?

I am fully expecting a game 3 win only because Kome is going to force his will to a win, but it'll be a low game 4, then a devastating loss at OKC on game 5.

Kobe not accepting blame? Durant made a great play, unconventional, on his steal? lololololol

Please.

Steveblake and Ramon sessions both had 0 assists tonight.

neither had the ball to run a play, tbf. Ron ran the offense, along with Kobe.

There was 8 seconds on the clock when Kobe took that 3. It was a good shot. The turnover with Blake was just bad luck. The steal and dunk by Durant just can't happen. Cannot happen

No. OKC will not shoot like that again. They were missing everything at one point. They didn't do anything in the second half but the turn the ball over and brick shots and STILL won. And they want Kobe to turn into Kome. They want that. They want him to forget about Gasol and Bynum and try to take over games.

Horrible pg (Blake) and mediocre pg (Ramon) being blown up during playoffs. Doesn't surprise me. Still, better than Fish manning it. We would've lost by 10. Although that means I wouldn't be this upset.

Kobe needs a wake up call this game. Yeah, he's one of the best players to play in the league, but he really stunk it up the last 2 mins.

rofl. "that just confirmed what I've always thought. There's no black people in Oklahoma City"

They would trade him for the right price.

Laker fans forget Kobe was literary crying on LA sports radio to be traded.

Kobe basically said that that was all a front to make the FO to make a move.

BTW, why did I JUST come into NBA-GAF this year? I would've loved to celebrated with Lakers GAF during their championship runs.

I guess... Better late than never.

I missed the ending... why did the Lakers call 3 timeouts within 13 seconds? Was the Thunder ball denial that good?

i dont understand what kobe meant by the thunder going "unconventional" on their steal attempts.... what was unconventional about them?

KD's was typical, YNB's usually puts the defense on its heels cause you don't often get the steal and your man attacks one of the other 4 men forcing switches or missed assignments. But Kobe/YNB are probably the right amount of slow and fast for him to recover and not cause a problem

Lakers can't ship him for anything/No one wants his contract/Kobe has a no trade clause.

He'll be a Laker for a couple more seasons at least, I think he has the sense to let it go before he looks like AI. Unless he can get a spot on a contender somehow, he's stuck here.
