MJ's defense is mad overlooked. Analysts today still don't pay enough attention to defense, good or bad.

It was a defensive play by Jordan that set up the shot over Russell to win the Finals in SLC. I was at that game, and the second Jordan stole the ball from Malone I knew it was over.

theres definitely an invincible aura to Bulls Mike, since he never lost in any of his Finals trips. well never know what would have happen if the Glove guarded Jordan in every one of the games in that Sonics/Bulls series

There is absolutely no discounting on how hand checking made the game much more difficult. The amount of contact that was allowed was extreme.
I think it's the biggest change in the game in my 38 years. The game became prettier once they started to disallow hand checking. But a lot of average guards became near allstars due to the help that those new rules gave them.

I agree that hand checking changed the game

But Greg Anthony's little hands wouldn't have stopped Lebron James steamrolling down the lane.

Hand checking may have effected Wade, T-Mac, etc but Lebron is too much of a bull for it to have made much of a difference.

Pippen was too. And Bosh was mad overrated. If Bosh was a franchise player so was Antawn Jamison. Putting up stats on a garbage team is not a franchise player.
Bosh was a franchise player....just like gasol was before he came to LA, as was tmac, Vince etc etc Antwan was never considered that

I found it funny people who've only watched basketball less than 3 years are arguing about Jordan and his teammates. Anyone who was watching basketball back then knew that it was an era of superstar centers, and the Bulls had to rely on their garbage centers to foul opposing centers, something that the Heat will never need to worry about, despite the lack or a true center.

Also, there's the fact that there's an entire generation of superstars who finished their career without a ring because of Jordan, something that LeBron will never be able to archive.

So we're now saying pippen is better than Wade?

He could be. What he did in 94 was hella impressive. Imagine Bron retiring after the season and Wade dragging what's left of that team back to 55+ wins and title contention. I have no doubts that Pippen could have carried a team on his own during the 90s. Win a title? Who knows but they would have been contenders built around him.

Lebron has already lost two finals. He doesn't have that same Aura of invisibility that Jordan had.
And honestly, I don't see Lebrun getting to the finals this year. And even if they do spurs is winning it all

The Revisionist history! It's just too much!

LOL at people blaming Mo Williams or anyone else on the Cavs for the reason they were bounced in the playoffs. Lebron James played like ASS in every single series he was ever bounced in the playoffs from except the Orlando one. Played like ass against the Mavs, Played like ass against the Celtics in 2010 (had one great game, game 3), Played like ass against the Spurs, Played like ass against the Pistons the year they lost.

Literally the only time his teammates let him down, instead of him letting his teammates down was against Orlando. He's been downright horrible every other series he's been bounced.

GTFO with this revisionist history BS.

Edit: Mo Williams is the only reason that Celtics series where Lebron quit didn't end in 5. Go back and watch game 1. Celtics went up by a huge lead and Lebron just went to LeDefer mode. It was Mo Williams hitting shots and that fast break dunk play that brought the team back and then Lebron finished the game. Played like ass again in game 2. DOMINATED GAME 3. Got completely murdered by Rondo in game 4. QUIT ON HIS TEAM in game 5. and went through the motions in game 6. That and the Mavs series were some of the worst series I've ever seen a superstar of his caliber play. Just Absymal

Bron's supporting cast this year is one of the best the game has ever seen. You have to go back to when the league was much more saturated, and had fewer teams overall, to find that kind of talent overload.

Wade and Bosh are coasting. Looking at their season stats is very disingenuous. Everyone knows they are capable of more.

I wonder if Jordan actually believes that ringz crap when talking about Kobe vs LeBron or if he's just trolling

It's like people are comparing the decrepit Kobe in his 17th season to a prime LeBron James. Someone dropping 27/5/5 in their 17th season is pretty fucking amazing.

What defeat has Jordan taken?

Pippen has bigger dick, and Madonna wants to fuck Scottie but not Jeffrey.

Scottie Pippen? Nothing but respect for Pippen. Great teammate. Great player. He was a thug when he came into the league, but really came around and they talk regularly now. Pippen and Jordan together defensively was as devastating a duo as there will ever be. Scottie and Michael used to compete on everything. Jordan used always claim his hands were bigger, but they weren’t. Scottie was very blessed down below. And that killed Michael. Johnny said, “you should have seen the girls pippen had waiting for him everywhere we went. Madonna used to pick him up in a limo with a hot tub every time we went to L.A.Michael used to tell Madonna he could satisfy her better, to which Madonna would tell him “not a chance.””

Ooh that's a tough one. I am going to say yes Pippen was better. He was a defensive monster. Ask Magic Johnson.
Wade is a stronger offensive player. But Pippen has a better basketball body and was a much better defender.

Pippen and Rodman were great complimentary players. Pippen at his peak could have been a franchise player.

Wade and Bosh were franchise players but its been shown guys filling their roles to perfection is much better than a group of franchise guys trying to co-exist.

Jerry :(

Lakers owner Jerry Buss has cancer and is at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to a report Thursday by Radaronline.com in which a source suggested Buss is nearing death.

Buss' cancer was learned previously by the Register but not published out of respect for the Buss family's wishes.

Buss, 79, has been called the greatest owner in pro sports history for his 10 NBA championships with the Lakers, in addition to being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010. Buss bought the Lakers in 1979 and currently owns 66 percent of the team.

On Aug. 22, Buss' daughter and Lakers executive vice president of business operations Jeanie Buss posted to her Twitter account: "For all those who asked, Dr. Buss is doing really well, even spending time visiting with Kobe yesterday. My dad's pumped for #Lakers season!"

But Buss has been hospitalized for much of the past year, his health worsening, and the Register recently explored the potentially difficult future for the franchise upon Buss' death with son Jim and daughter Jeanie not speaking to each other and possibilities abounding regarding various ownership groups, even within the Buss family, getting involved.

The Buss family released a statement after that piece was published, saying: "We unanimously agree that we have no intention of ever selling the Lakers, and intend to keep ownership of the team in our family for generations to come."

Best owner in sports. Would play poker at commerce casino, too.

First chick, now Jerry. The old guard is disappearing...

And someone thinks Lebron is better than Jordan at everything except scoring?

That's pure nonsense.

Lebron is better than Jordan at only one thing. Passing. That's it. He's not nearly as good of a scorer, he's not a better defender, and he's not a better leader, clutch player, shooter, post player, slam dunk contest winner (lol).

As for rebounding, Lebron plays power forward half the time for god's sakes. It's his role on the team to get rebounds. Jordan had Rodman and Grant to take care of that while him and Pippen leaked out. If Lebron is a better rebounder, and that's a big if, he's only marginally better. If Prime Rodman or Prime Pippen were on the heat instead of Anemic ass Bosh, Lebron wouldn't get that many rebounds and he'd be stupid to try.

So you took a break from recording to post some motherfucking bullshit? Because handchecking from a little guard would still effect Lebron in halfcourt sets.

The Lakers and Buss's son have the dude at death's door.

I'd love to see LeBron take 28 shots a game but he'll never be that guy.
