Okay if that's how you view it. I think you're 100% delusional, but that's fine.

It's all theoretical at this point, anyway. To paraphrase my grandfather: "If ifs and buts were tits and butts, we'd be filming a porno down here."

Just admit your team and KD don't have enough.

He's a stupid troll.

Don't bother responding to him.

He's just mad OKC are probably going to lose so he's clinging to any future hope he could have.

That said, i hope the grizz get it done next game, and get some rest, cause gosh damn they've been playing some huge minutes.

Biggest problem I'm worried about is the terrible plays that the grizzlies are running in crunch time. I mean blaster was screaming at the grizzlies because they wouldn't do shit for the first 10-15 sec of the clock

God what a different coach could mean for this team...

Okc in the playoffs are scoring 95.6 per 100 with Perkins in the game. This includes 2 games with Westbrook and not tonight's game

I really think Perkins number might be close to 80 since Westbrook got hurt.

Btw it is 114 wih Perkins out. lol

It's not the coach. As much as folks trash Rudy Gay, he is a guy who can create his own shot and isn't afraid of the moment late in games. They will miss him if and when they make the Finals cos no one on that team can make LeBron play defense like he can.

That's exactly what I'm admitting when I say Memphis was the better team this series.

They are still pretty deep without Russ. Memphis is just the worst possible matchup cos they have 2 legit bigs (Perk has to play) and a lockdown defender. I bet this OKC team could beat the Spurs or Warriors

Lebron will have to guard zbo or Gasol at times. If not Miami has to play its weaker offensive lineup.

That's better than Rudy gay. Plus he sucks.

Grizz regularly run late shot clock offense. It takes a while to get the ball into the post, or run screens etc so z-bo and marc can get their post position. It's also a big part of their game to slow down the whole pace of the game.

Its infuriating to watch at the end of a game, but it sort of is their normal stuff.

I haven't watched this game though, at work.

"Hey, Kettle, it's me, Giri! You're black."

You've taken trolling to an art form, and I commend you.

Whilst i admit to trolling at times, the last series where OKC had both harden AND ynb, went to 7 games iirc, and this grizz team are better than that one, and this OKC team are worse.

To say having YNB would completely change the outcome, definitively, is just being stupid.

Didn't the grizz win the regular season series, or draw even, and YNB played then too?

I think it might even be closer, probably go 7, but i'd still expect Grizz to win.

Perk is also playing against the grizz's best defensive unit in fairness. The second unit has played against the grizz with z-bo at the 5 for stretches. Its a bit of an unfair comparison.

They can't score in this series with Perkins on the floor. He kills their entire offense. Whatever you want to argue that's the truth. He's missed almost every open shot. He can't rebound. You can't pass him the ball because it will be a brick or turnover. He has no use for the team.

I thought in the Houston series he was useless but could be used in this one for post defense. But he has become so horrific on offense it not worth it anymore.

He is the worst player in the nba that plays regularly.

Are you really bringing up a series from two full seasons ago to make that case?

You know, I remember when the Nuggets took out the top seeded OKC/Seattle Supersonics in 19-effin-94...we're so lucky we didn't have to face them this year!

To even dignify that post with a response is rather silly, but I'll go ahead. The Thunder in 2013 with Westbrook is empirically better than the Thunder of 2011 were. The jump in play level for both him and KD since then has been incredible. They were the #1 seed in the tougher of the two conferences. They won a million games and didn't even look like they were trying that hard. I had them penciled in to chip this year.

Memphis beat the Spurs in 2011. They might be a better team now, but they were no joke back then.

My argument FOR perk playing is they literally have no one else.

Collison hasn't been able to stay on the floor.

Ibaka can't.

And Durant can't guard Gasol / Z-bo AND carry them on offense.

There's literally been no alternative.

They can run small, and that's helped their O. But Memphis have just posted them to death when they try.

I don't disagree he's fucking terrible, and since the knee, been entirely useless on both ends for the majority. But ... i'm just not sure OKC have any answers. They'd be better off starting Darko.

They'd be better slow

Hell, they'd be better 4 on 5

Perkins was brought in to combat Dwight Howard, but Kobe proved a more effective adversary.

Now he's a man without a purpose...

Back in 2011? He was brought in to combat a Dwight Kobe pairing back in 2011? He was brought in to try to defend Timmy and Bynum/Pau - too bad they didn't plan for Dirk.

You guys were only 4 games better than memphis in the regular season..People seem to forget that. Not forgetting that memphis had a personnel change half way through and still was a top seeded team. I wouldn't exactly pencil having westbrook as a sure fire win. Having both him and harden on the other hand? Yeah.

He came to NY with a still All-Star STAT. I don't see a replacement for that lost offense around.

Nobody could have predicted Amare's knees falling off. NOBODY.

Let's not forget the part where he forced New York into a bidding war and they ended up trading their entire team for him because he just couldn't wait.

Notes: The Grizzlies sold out their 15th straight postseason game. ... All three Grizzlies' wins in the series have been by six points each. ... The Thunder now have lost three straight. They lost three straight only once during the regular season. ... The Grizzlies have won 11 games when trailing by at least 17 points since Hollins' first season as head coach in 2009-10. That's the most in the NBA in that time.

Huh.

The weirdest thing is I think right now I'm more scared of the lower seeded West teams than the top 2

oh that might be because those are the teams that will make it to the WCF
