These pointless stats are only true until someone eventually does something.

No German team has ever won the World Cup in 2014. ZOMG STATS.

How is it pointless?!

There have been five WC's in S.America, and no European side has been victorious. We ain't talking about a WC in Asia!

please be a high scoring match... please be a high scoring match... please be a high scoring match...

That's boring, much more interesting if Argentina scores in the first 10 mins and then watch them struggle and panic for the rest of the game.

I'm mostly fascinated by the confidence in Argentina supporters, it reminds me of my brother who blindly believed United could do it against Barcelona in 2011. I don't get that sort of thing, I'm a realist. Can you pull off an upset? Of course you can manage to convert a couple of set pieces / half chances and defend Greek style but I would be scared as fuck with no expectation of winning in this particular situation.

Yah it's not like we have the best player in football history coupled with world class teammates, 2 worldcups and 4 wc finals... We should be scared and terrified

Lol some of you are just ridiculous

Btw: germany is not b
2011 Barsa, not even close

People are forgetting, no European country has won a WC in South America. Will that be the same story come tonight?

There is a massive list of things that spoke against Bayern winning the CL final last year, when that occured I lost any respect I had for stats.

This unlikely to happen, its the final both teams gonna play it very carefully. But mayby Germany can surprise us, we'll see.

If my memory is correct people were saying that Germany wasn't near as dominant before the Brazil game. They went to overtime with Algeria, after all. I think that 7-1 victory is clouding peoples memories. The Netherlands dominated Brazil too. That Brazil squad is just laughably bad. I really don't think this World Cup final will be as lopsided as people think.

Argentina had pretty much a cakewalk and never won convincingly.

I have seen the other Argentian matches, I'm not convinced they're better than Brazil.

Go Germany Go. I'm gonna be supporting all the Polish players in the German team.

Plus Germany have had the more entertaining games, where as Argentina have had the dullest.

1-0 against a surprising France was still a controlled and dominated game. It's not just about the scoreline, the French had no chance. This was when the team clicked as Löw changed Lahm's position, introduced Klose as a starter and the Bastian/Khedira midfield duo, after that performance it was clear to me who was the tournament's favorite

an Argentina win would just add more salt onto Brazil's wounds

100 000 Argentine supporters inside Brazil celebrating in the faces of Brazilians would make Brazil even more saltier

They already closed the "Fanmeile" (fanmile) in Berlin. There is place for 200.000 people and it's full.

The thirst is real

Messi has created the most scoring opportunities of anyone this World Cup. That isn't conjecture, it is fact. I don't understand why people argue he doesn't show up in matches. The other team typically places two or three players to stop him on every possession, and he still finds teammates, scores goals, and creates on the field.
