I honestly have no idea what happened to Colombia in that quarter final. I just think they had a totally wrong mindset and it 'ruined' their lively play they had shown in the tournament so far (same goes for Costa Rica in their quarter final). Then again the Brazilian team really shined in that match so kudo's to them, if they play like that again today it should be fun.

If history is anything to go by, Netherlands is not going to give a shit about the consolation price and just throw the game. Brazil and Argentina would never deliberately lose from each other though. Therefore it is in all our best interest that Germany and the Netherlands proceed, or we will have an uninteresting Saturday match. It's logical.

Who is the favored to win in a Germany vs Netherland final?
Germany probably partly due to history of Germany repeatedly cock blocking Netherlands.
Otherwise I'd call it a toss up at this point.

While I agree with you that it will never ever be an easy win against Argentina, I also agree with the coaches of Belgium and Holland. Argentina is a good team, but a normal team. By that they mean they shouldn't play against the team with fear in your legs.
If you start your match against a team thinking ZOMG they are so awesome! ...you are already losing. Nothing odd about what those coaches said.
The way BRA has played so far, it will all be from their side.
