Truely amazing screenshots (and its composition) and visuals. Even the tree LOD in distance is great. The only knickknack I'm missing is a bit more ambient occlusion around the distance trees. If Skyrim could only convince me gameplay- and storywise. But I'm adequate pleased with those screenshots of it.

The problem with FF13 is that you need to play a rather mediocre game for 20 hours to then be allowed to play a decent game for another 20 or so. And the some of the characters

The good news is that the graphics are beautiful and extremely varied throughout. (With perhaps one or two low points, like Vile Peaks and most of chapter 10)

I couldn't disagree more. But hey, everyone should try it themselves with an open mind.

Visiting lifeless towns and talking to generic NPCs is overrated.

That second one might be the most bullshot-ish screenshot I managed to take of the game. (Almost) no stretched textures, flat ground, blocky shadow maps, or lack of geometric detail in sight, even though the game is full of those things in most areas.

holy shit. Sometimes, as someone who grew up in the 8-16bit era, it honestly boggles my fucking mind to think that weve come from graphics like my Atari St pushing 16 or 32 colours at a 640x200 resolution to this. Regardless of the game quality, the visuals are fucking incredible

Thanks guys. No mods are used. I run a i7 930 3.8ghz and a GTX 970. CPU is only around 40-60% in use. I think you just need to set your graphic settings according to your vram, not have any browsers running while playing and be lucky.
