One of the few games that had me legitimately scared most of the time. A mixture of jump scares and just super well designed eerie atmosphere.

Definitely worth finishing the first one. I started playing the second one, but am still too afraid of shitting my pants to go back. It's been over a year. I'll finish it one day.

I really appreciate that you like my shots :) I only set the 1080p resolution in the config file but i would have liked to stop time and fly around for better shots. I didn't know of all the twaeking possibilities neither :P Thanks for the link!

Btw: I really like your FEAR shots too especially that shot with the blood drop in front of Alma.

yessir.

also i got a bunch of mods, but the main thing that makes the game look decent is an ENB preset, which i guess is the same as all gamebyro stuff. the one i use in APEX ENB, which can be found here: http://enbdev.com/enbseries/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1871&sid=ad5bb64a2fa74f73f6a27a29ad7b7791

though it's a bit strange and sometimes you have to do stuff with the inis (disabling the initproxyfunctions/enableproxylibrary in the enbseries.ini and enblocal.ini) to make it run

the big thing is honestly finding good places to take screenshots. the engine isn't too hot and can make stuff look real bad, but it can also look great at times too depending on where you are- the vault 22 revamp mod is a great example of it

also i don't edit my screenshots except for downscaling 'em (native resolution 2560x1440)

the vault is an extreme example btw, it looks -amazing- which is why i posted it. normally the low quality assets on a lot of stuff and the environmental lighting of outdoors stuff makes it not look as good. see the difference between these two shots:

I know. I loved the story and the atmosphere was mindblowing.

I think I'm going to replay the whole game, start new. But not now, maybe next winter.
 
Whenever I try taking a screenshot with fraps with anything higher than 1080 it freezes! Anyone know a solution to this?

Yeah... don't use FRAPS hehe :P
It would happen to me too when I used FRAPS and downsampled from a high resolution, have no idea why... it would usually crash FRAPS and the game.
Use something else to take screenshots... I recommend SweetFX or Afterburner.

Please stop posting screenshots from engines, they are not allowed. The rules say that you should only post screenshots from actual games.

Or should I start making something in Cinema 4D and post it here?

Bagels are no reason to be offended, man. In my opinion this thread could do with some more Bagels. So if Phil0sophy wants to post some Bagels then I think he should have the right to post those Bagels.

Using fraps to take screenshots, any resolution over 1080p freezes the game. Once I push the key to take the screen shot, which doesn't even save, it freezes and i have to restart the computer.

Any advise? Is there any other application I can use.

I've used MSI Afterburner for screenshots of Origins in 3200x1800px recently, works for me. Did not try FRAPS with origins so can't say anything about that.

After having first hand experience with Unreal Engine 4 now, I can say. Yes it's crazy gorgeous.

Their Temporal AA however is a little disappointing. For being Temporal, it still leaves quite a bit of temporal aliasing behind; Even with 2x2 downsampling. Especially of the specular variety with certain objects.
But for the cost of the technique, it's pretty darn good compared to the likes of SMAA 1x and FXAA.

At 1800p on my GTX 570 was getting around 20FPS with this
 
The Reflections demo though, my god the Chromatic Aberration... So ugly looking, nearly ruins an otherwise fantastic looking scene
