2014 is coming

Trails in the Sky 2 (hopefully)

Also,

Dark Souls 2
Persona 5
Rogue Legacy Vita

The Division is a game I'm really looking forward to.

And Watch Dogs is most anticipated game of next year.
And not just because I'm in it. ;)

Hopefully when Watch Dogs gets shown again it looks a lot better and the variety in missions have been made adequately clear that it's not just a re-skinned AC

Most hyped for Titanfall, Destiny and The Order 1886.
Also pretty excited for The Last of Us story dlc and Ultra SFIV.

Oh, and hopefully the consumer Oculus Rift will release in 2014.

The only thing that i can think about is that it's going to be 10 years since:

Half Life 2
Nintendo DS
PSP
Nintendo Wii (Revolution) annoucement
Unreal Tournament 2004
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War
Halo 2
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Fable (remember those promises?)
World of Warcraft

It seems like it was hardly 4 years ago since those games launched.

It's cute that some of you think Uncharted will be out in 2014.

In this exact order, all other lists are wrong.

1. Destinity
2. The Division (kind doubt this will hit 2014)
3. Watchdoges
4. Zelda U
5. Star Citizen
6. Infamous SS
7. Witcher 3
8. Dragon Age: Inquisition

Bayonetta 2 will be awesome but I don't have a Wii U

I will be a day one buyer of:

Game of Thrones
Dragon Age 3 (assuming it's still 2014)
MGS5

Uncharted 4
Watch Dogs
The Division
inFamous Second Son
Super Smash Brothers
Bayonetta 2
X
Persona 5
Fucking Donkey Kong
Final Fantasy XV
Transistor
Rime
Bravely Default
Majora's Mask 3DS (please God)
Tomb Raider Definitive Edition (never played the original)

Should be a great year

In no particular order (I'll buy a ps4 when one of either Uncharted or the Witcher 3 are released, otherwise the Wii U is looking mighty strong next year):

Zelda U (if it comes out in 2014, which is highly unlikely)
Dark Souls II
Monolithsoft's "X"
Bayonneta 2
The Witcher 3
Uncharted (if it comes out)
Smash Bros. U
Bravely Default

Sony will need a major exclusive for the holidays and Naughty Dog are ther most efficient developer. I doubt The Order is coming next year either, so UC will be there.

Wellllll, let's see then.
  • South Park
  • Bravely Default
  • Infamous: SS (Slight interest)
  • Watch Dogs (Hoping this will be a decent rental at least)
  • Transistor (cautiously optimistic)
  • The Order 1886 (Will probably suck)
  • Shovel Knight
  • Dark Souls 2
  • Bayonetta 2
  • Project Eternity
  • Wasteland 2
  • Witcher 3
  • The Evil Within (presuming 2014)
  • Prey 2 (lol)
And of course realistically, I'll still be playing everything I shamefully didn't have time to finish this year:
  • Etrian Odyssey IV
  • Anarchy Reigns
  • Metro:LL
  • Divinity Dragon Commander
Pepper in some Steam sale impulse buys that will loom over my head for most of eternity, and I can tell I'll have a busy year.

Oh right, forgot about Destiny. Interest on that one is dwindling fast, though.

1. The Evil Within
2. (Fucking) Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
3. Bayonetta 2

Others I'm looking forward to are Smash Bros. U, Mario Kart 8, Watch Dogs, The Witness and Destiny.

-inFamous: Second Son
-DriveClub (upgrade to full version from PS+ version)
-Project Cars

PS4 LIKELY BUY:
-Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
-Destiny
-Watch Dogs
-The Order: 1886

POSSIBLY BUY BASED ON REVIEWS/IMPRESSIONS
-Final Fantasy XV
-MGSV: Ground Zeroes (so sad how my hype for this has died)

Not really a banner year, for me. That's not because I'm only working with a PS4, because I don't want anything on the One or WiiU, it's simply just not an exciting year for me, game-wise.

I'd hope Uncharted makes it in 2014, but probably not. That would certainly boost my year.

I haven't seen a lot of footage of X for wii u but after seeing that gif im actually interested in it. There are literally way to many games coming out in 2014 that i am looking forward to. Im however mostly looking forward to Witcher 3 because the more i see of it the more it interests me.

Bravely Default ( U.S. :/ )
Mario Golf 3DS
DKC Tropical Freeze
X
Kirby 3DS
Dark Souls 2
Bungie's Child
Xrd
BB CP
Ultra SF4

1. X - most anticipated!
2. Super Smash Bros 4
3. Zelda U
4. Mario Kart 8
5. Destiny
6. Bravely Default
7. Please somehow get Persona 5 on Gaikai/PS4
8. Persona Q if it comes to US in 2014

There are WAY too many games coming out in February-March. I don't even know what games I want, but I know I will have enough for at least 3.

Right now I'm thinking about getting South Park The Stick of Truth, Titanfall (or Dark Souls 2 but I want to see reviews first), and One Piece Romance Dawn. There's others coming out such as Infamous Second Son, Tales of Symphonia Collection, and Dying Light. Infamous SS and Dying Light I think come out early April which is close enough.

March is going to be a tough month for me.

South Park: Stick of Truth (360)
something something (Vita)

I have no idea about the most exciting titles for the Vita, but so far it has held me off of buying a nextgen console. Truly excited for the unknown.

I'm probably gonna take a year off gaming, so it'll only be a few:

1. Super Smash Bros
2. Persona 5
3. Mario Kart 8
4. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
5. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (PS4 - free)
6. Fifa 15

And then there are the PSN titles like Rime, The Witness and Back to the Rapture.

The list includes some games that might not be released in the west:

Dangan Ronpa
The Binding Of Isacc Rebirth
Tree Of Savior Beta (potential leaks + screens + 2014 random reveals, doubt the game will be released in 2014 in Korea) <- This is what i'm the most hyped about, by faaaaaaaaaaaaar.
Soul Sacrifice Delta
Dark Souls 2
Freedom Wars
Tokiden
Guilty Gear Xrd
Persona 5
Kan Colle Kai (muhahaha)
Dangan Ronpa Another Episode

There's also a few game from system i don't own:

X
Bayonetta 2
Persona Q
MH4 potential western release

And an exception, not because i care about the game itself:

Titanfall, why? Because it seems someone remembered walljumps and double jump were a thing in FPS and people are actually hyped about the game. Hopefully it will catch up and the gendra might start to catch my interest back.

Dark Souls 2
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
Starbound (beta phase 2 and beyond)
Trials Fusion
A Hat In Time
Shovel Knight
Bayonetta 2 (though I don't have a Wii U, I will have to get one eventually for this)
The Witness
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
Transistor
Super Time Force
South Park: The Stick of Truth
Dragon Age: Inquisition

I'm looking forward to Oculus Rift more than any game though

Making the jump to next gen, The Witcher 3, Dark Souls 2, MGS Ground Zero/5, playing the rest of The wolf among us and hearing any updates about Cyberpunk 2077.

Nothing.

Working on my Steam backlog and things are shaping up nicely! :)
Actually, I have now gotten so accommodated to buying games for super cheap about a year after release, I think I will keep doing it forever.
Games are fully patched by then (= Beta tested by my fellow gamers) and you save so much money (I pay 10 euro max per game).

Edit: if any PC gamer wants advice on completing his massive Steam backlog,
check my recent wall of text at http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=92904541&postcount=9308

To complete:
(of course MP games cant be completed so only the SP list matters)

Just give me Smash Bros.

Also looking forward to DKC, Kirby 3DS, Yoshi's Wii U game if it doesn't turn into something awful, Infamous, and a handful of other titles.
