The rings argument is so silly, simply because it falls apart when guys like Russell are dismissed, as if his rings don't count. The most impressive things about Jordan weren't the six rings, it was the six Finals MVPs. To win six titles AND be the best player on your team each time is most impressive. His longevity, as well. The man was averaging 23, 6 and 5 when he was 38. He was averaging 29 ppg when he retired in 98. LeBron has more regular season MVPs at this point in their careers, but that has just as much to do with the lack of competition that LeBron has (no fault of his own, though). The past few seasons have been really damn weak in the NBA, especially the East.

On their overall careers, MJ is at 30, 6 and 5 on 50% FG. If you take out the two Wizards years, he's at 32, 6 and 5 on better than 50% FG shooting. LeBron's career numbers are currently at 28, 7 and 7 on 50% FG. Very impressive. Unfortunately, due to his lackluster competition (due to injuries, mainly), he just isn't at MJ's level.

Either way, though, this is a mute debate. The GOAT will be determined by Nike and ESPN with their ever changing criteria (rings, MVPs, competition, etc.). Both will be overshadowed when the next golden child shows up.

Where's the best place I can watch Heat highlights in HD?

Does the Heat fanbase have something of an equivalent to lakersmedia.com?

Actually, to be honest, I'm really just interested mostly in LBJ highlights (in HD, no less), so will settle for Heat highlights if I must.

Also, how has OKC managed to have the best record without Westbrook and no more 6th men of Harden's caliber?

We were already first (or close) when Westbrook went down, and our winning percentage has suffered only *slightly* since he had his second surgery.

The biggest reasons for OKC's continued success:

1. KD's insane play since YNB went down--he's not only getting his points with his typical efficiency, but he's playmaking at a level that's unprecedented for him.

2. Ibaka has played like an all-star. 18.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks while shooting 63 percent from the field in his last 15 games (according to Daily Thunder.com).

3. Our three-point shooting has improved. Fisher and Lamb have shot extremely well from 3 during this stretch, adding a much-needed perimeter threat in addition to KD.

4. The bench guys have stepped up. While our starters other than KD and Ibaka have been meh for the most part (Reggie has had his moments), Fisher, Collison, Lamb, and even Jones and Adams have been solid.

The challenge is going to be implementing what we've been doing so well when YNB comes back. I'd like to see a lot more sets with KD at the point and Russ moving without the ball and cutting to the rim.

18.6/8.2 ain't fucking all-star numbers for a PF in the West. gtfo

yep, he likes the game winners at Oracle. I ain't even mad

Iggy forced him into a tough shot to win the game. Not much to feel dejected about. Not like we haven't hit game winners against the Heat.

He just beat KD and Tim Duncan for rings. And beat a league MVP in the conference finals.

OKC, PHX, UTA, DEN are the only teams in the West that don't have a big man that is averaging at least 15PPG and 10RPG or at least scoring 20PPG.

That's a tough group.

Presti ought consider trading YNB for some solid, Ibaka-level, KD-compatible role players? Surely there are GMs out there willing to be fleeced for a damaged YNB? Could probably get rid of Perkins that way, letting Collison get in there with more playing time? Collison's the white guy, right?

Cause that would basically make them like the cavs were during the Lebron years and the same thing would happen to them come playoff time.

If he wants to win now an Adams + Perk deal could get them a good center

I remember when 'Bron averaged a 35-9-7 in the playoffs and lost.

Over qualified second bananas are so rare you can't just trade them away.

First time in a long while that you've sounded like a Bulls fan.

The Mavs traded Nash away and it took them years to luck into a championship squad, only to have Cuban broke it up right away.

I doubt Durant would have the same patience.
