It's an awful trade that really highlights a team's ineptitude. I don't want to hear mid markets complaining about not being able to compete or keep their Stars when they do shit like this.
Wolves fan here, been a ticket holder many years of varying types of packages.
Ineptitude was a previous fault (KAHN!!!!...drafting Flynn over Curry, Wes Johnson over Cousins etc...)...now the recent trades and drafts have resulted in a core of Rubio, Wiggins, Shabazz, Dieng, Lavine + next years draft pick + with current vets Pek and Kevin Martin.
The biggest complaint about the Love trade was actually getting Thad instead of Miami's first round pick, which looked to be mid-teens with them falling recently. With Dragic to Miami and then Dwyane getting healthy, that pick gets "worse" as in a higher number. Getting KG is definitely more sentimental, but also gets out of Thad's contract since he probably would have opted into his decent sized contract instead of trying FA. Not the best trade ever made, but not awful. Since Thad isn't a pure PF, he didn't fit well with having Bazz/Wiggins being able to play the 3.
