So the Sixers traded MCW on a down year, for a top 7 pick.

Sad to see KJ go, but he didn't seem like he was signing here anyway.

I would have liked to have kept Isaiah Thomas, but who knows what is even going on right now.

KJ McDaniels is a good player? Like Pablo as a backup, don't know if he can play starting minutes though.

Also, Hinkie is the man. He's going to turn that team around in no time.

Wolves fan here, been a ticket holder many years of varying types of packages.

Ineptitude was a previous fault (KAHN!!!!...drafting Flynn over Curry, Wes Johnson over Cousins etc...)...now the recent trades and drafts have resulted in a core of Rubio, Wiggins, Shabazz, Dieng, Lavine + next years draft pick + with current vets Pek and Kevin Martin.
The biggest complaint about the Love trade was actually getting Thad instead of Miami's first round pick, which looked to be mid-teens with them falling recently. With Dragic to Miami and then Dwyane getting healthy, that pick gets "worse" as in a higher number. Getting KG is definitely more sentimental, but also gets out of Thad's contract since he probably would have opted into his decent sized contract instead of trying FA. Not the best trade ever made, but not awful. Since Thad isn't a pure PF, he didn't fit well with having Bazz/Wiggins being able to play the 3.

Trading it for Thad in the first place was dumb, this just compounds it. You can't just right off the first dumb thing. It's a sign that the front office is not very smart and not very forward thinking.

Sorta glad Dragic went to Miami he's a nice player but I didjt want the Lakers breaking the bank to get him.

Shit I wanted to keep Cole as much as AWFUL he has been. But this trade is definitely great. Goran with Bosh and WHITESIDE! to wrok with will be hnngg. Wades knees please hold up.

Just saw what happened to futbol-gaf. It wasnt as bad as to what happened to us last year(around same time period too, ASG week lol). I remember Cherry made the ASG thread in the non-community side..

I apologize in advance to the Pelicans for Norris Cole. I'm so sorry for your "gain."

STOP. Cole world can play ;(

I don't understand when writers and some of you say I am glad the Lakers didn't sign this guy or that guy. Who are WE supposed to put on the floor then? The current garbage?

I do not see anyone breaking the door down to play for one of the worst teams in the NBA right now.

So great Lets save our money and not spend it. Who the hell is going to come here this summer? No one. Who is going to come here the year after?| No one.

What are the Lakers saving money for then?

That's not saying much. What type of player is he?
3 and D player. Had an amazing season with Wizards last season which was why Rockets gave him a nice contract

Edit: oh you mean KJ? He is known as the bright yet dim light of the Sixer's backcourt. Little of everything.

As a Suns fan, I think I'm okay with what happened today. Dragic was going to walk. Isiah Thomas was good but I'm okay with subbing him with BK. Of course, our season is probably going to be over now, but we weren't going to win it all anyway. For the future!

Dragic is 28 years old. He's a very good but not great player. unless we can add him AND fucking Gasol or Love or Aldridge by the time this team is good again Dragic will likely be in decline. We need to fully bottom out and basically wait out Kobes contract and in the mean time collect assets and keep cap flexibility for when that "great" player might become available.

Pretty much. He's too old for the Lakers to bank on. Not that 28 is old, but that team is 100% shot.

I'm still a little confused. I was excited at first until I realized we got rid of ALL of our point guards. We now have only Bledsoe and Knight. Doubt Knight will join us in MN tomorrow. Are they moving Goodwin to the point? What is going on here?

Yeah, the entire process here is pretty bad. Thad's a decent piece, he's not great, but he's like... by a wide margin the best option the Wolves have at the 4 right now. Trading a first to get him under the guise that they would compete this year was foolish, but he's been part of the team playing watchable basketball. Payne and Bennett are not the answer.

It'll be fun to see KG again, sure. And of course my favorite Wolf of all time Cap Space will be ready next year.

I can only hope that this has been a long con and they're clearing space to pay Kevin Love next year and really get the band back together.

And it looks like Dragic wants to stay in Miami long-term.

I'm okay with giving up two first rounders for this.

I can see it from one angle, on the other hand does a Dragic/declining Wade/Bosh core really make the Heat any type of title contender? I can see mortgaging your future like that if you can get a ring but all those picks gone means Miami is going to crash hard.
