Acid I used to yell at my TV when Thornton would have the puck near the net and then not shoot. Those days are a few years gone and it's just expected. It sucks because he is a great shooter too.
Buhhhhh I'm sad now. I was sad at game 5, but to have this happen again is just uggggggggh

Their core is still too good to fall off the map. As much as this phrase has been way overused lately, they definitely do need a culture change.

Hopefully Bourque still has whatever he used to get himself going last series.

The fuck is this? Dammit.
No way though the time of Thornton/Marleau/Boyle being the go-to guys is over. Couture, Pavs, Hertl, and Vlasic are now our core as far as I'm concerned. And you could be in a much worse position than that. I like a lot of our bottom six guys right now. Defense is the one thing that needs a major overhaul.

Hertl will not be the epicenter. He's this year's darling, but not rebuilding (if any) around him when Couture and Pavelski are in front of him.

I wish we had a time machine and could grab young Owen Nolan to captain this team. He was overflowing with gutz.

It still amazes me this is our first meeting with the quacks.
Kings looked a little gassed, but the break should give us a little breather. It's going to be a series that will hinge on our ability to control their speed. If we can go back to puck possession, I can see this being a long series.
If we let them walk on us like gm 1-2 of the last series, the Ducks won't relent. I'm saying Kings in 6.
