Ovi hasn't just been disappointing, he's seriously killed this team. Forcing everything, ruining the flow and pace of anything his lines have going. Legitimately holding them back.

Hmm, Finland is gonna be a touch challenge for us on Friday! I mean, they're never easy, but it seems like they really have their shit together here. Gonna be glorious to beat them. :)

So like, who gets assassinated by the mob? Coach? Malkin Ovi and Datsyuk will be back in the US soon enough but Kovalchuk has to stay, lol.

Edit: prolly whoever remembered the mooring rule to disallow the goal vs. USA.

And he's the one who said he'd leave the NHL if they didn't let him play in Sochi. Ridiculous how much of a non-factor he's been.

Hyvä Suomi... Pretty embarrassing for the Russians who thought they'd go to the Gold medal game. They didn't even make the semi's.

Hopefully they develop their national program more, get some better coaches, and have the players check their egos at the door.

As underwhelming as Crosby has been, at least he's gotten some assists, drawn penalties (questionably perhaps, lol) and been dictating play somewhat. Ovi's just straight up not helping the team, seemingly. Really disappointing.

I feel bad for Russians, they deserved to have a team which performed better at home.

Feel bad for Datsyuk. At least he tried.

Everyone else should feel ashamed with their effort. Also, bad coaching. It was obvious Malkin and Ovie weren't working long before the quarterfinal.

As a swede, I couldn't have dreamed of a better semi than Finland though. Road is open to the finals!

Finland are looking really good. Brilliant goalie, solid defense, and the FINNISH FLASH leading the way. Sweden will be the underdogs (by quite some margin) in our semifinal against Finland.

That was awesome, and pretty much how you'd expect the game to go if you wanted to draw up an upset. Not a huge upset though, the Russians haven't been terribly impressive all tournament (or in any Olympics since the 90s).

I can't wait to hear what the Russian media says about this game. In 2010 some newspapers straight out accused Canada of doping before the QF, can't wait to find out how the devious Finns cheated in this one. ;)
