I think it's the vehicle. I don't have Driveclub anymore (traded it in a few days ago) but it always did funky things when reflecting the bottom of a vehicle, and the buggy has a higher suspension/clearance than the other cars in the game.
It's an artifact from the screen-space method the game uses to render reflections. The undercarriage would be in the reflection in real life, but here the reflection can only show what the camera sees (screen-space). Combine this with the buggy's aforementioned higher height, and the game basically gets confused and stretches the reflection to try and fill in the missing information.

Very cool. SSR works pretty well for a lot of games but I personally can't wait for ray tracing or similar technologies to happen in games. Baked reflections like the ones in infamous and Forza Horizon 2 (which isn't entirely baked) aren't doing it for me this gen.

I'm shocked how well everything in this game holds up upon close inspection. Even when dropping some of the post-production filters like grain and motion blur (to some extent) it still looks beautiful.

Also -- anyone notice that when Galahad is firing in Blacksite he doesn't look down the sights, or even at the target -- he just looks off into the distance in a smug manner, like he's playing it up to the camera, showoff.

I'm okay with baked reflections as long as they're actually reflecting the right thing. But yeah, seeing a reflection of a sign/building that isn't there in Infamous is annoying. Infamous uses SSR as well but with (what appears to be) a very short draw distance and/or only certain parts of the environment. I assume this is because reflecting everything a la DriveClub is too costly for open-world, or at least for the engine and/or framerate they're using.

Just curious if anyone is actually interested in making/viewing 3D panoramas. I've made several and it really isn't hard to do, but it is a bit time consuming (each one is 40-60 screenshots). If people are interested I could make a quick guide on how to make your own (it works with pretty much any game with a photomode, possibly not the Order unless you're up to editing out the black bars in 60 photographs)

Would love to see what you've created. Do you have any links to what you've done so far?
