My immediate guess, would be that it's to do with the original game having been created with 4:3 backdrops... so in order to create the same game with non-cropped 16:9, they'd be required to create background scenery that didn't previously exist.

Something must be wrong with the images because those look pretty bad (as in not very good). My nephew plays this game and what I have seen is much more impressive, so wondering if it is the PS4 compression that is causing your screens to look poor.

Pics are around 100kb in size so it's definitely the compression.

The game itself is not that good compared to the top action/hack and slash games in the genre but I am really impressed that the Limited Edition did not cost extra and came with some high quality bonuses that most game publishers do not even bother to make.

The Banana Split Edition comes with:

- The PS4 game in a standard cas with a nice Reversible Cover (alternate cover on the other side), an actual printed game manual, an outer box that stores the game, artbook, and soundtrack CD and the Banana Split Edition Voucher for the costumes.

- It comes with a decent printed artbook that is separate from the game case

- Also a physical CD soundtrack but the music I've heard so far in the game is horrible. I have not opened this OST yet.

Oh, Im not expecting it to be anywhere near something like a DMC or Ninja Gaiden in terms of game play but it at least looks better than previous games in the franchise.

Wow, kinda like it. Is this game good?

I'm just three levels in, but it's very Donkey Kong inspired. Control is tight and layout is interesting enough. But like I said I'm just in the beginning of the game.

The Sharefunction/picturequality of the Ps4 needs to get better (and I really need to find a better hoster. Not happy with imgur/minus/cube/whatever)

They could really remake the silent hill games on this engine, Carter captures the abandoned/desolate + slightly creepy atmosphere so well.

Even though they barely did anything to God of War 3 aside from resolution and framerate, that game almost passes as a current gen game. I was expecting it to have aged a bit more.

Not sure if anyone has noticed. But the blood effects are a lot better in the remaster. And more of it too.
