does the earthbound cover sell out super quick? I might order one but not if it means waiting for a midnight release and spamming refresh on the store

Gah, how did the year go by so quickly? I'm not ready, but I know I'm gonna need another next year... and a new cover too! That purple one from the preview page seemed like a fun pattern, but I'm not keen on the zipper covers.

Did I never comment on this? The little memo books are superb! Same great paper as the planner. I got both sizes an will grab more with my next order.
I can't believe it's ordering time again already! I might actually go from Cousin to original size this year. I really want to try it out. I have other notebooks for longer journal entries - I want a place for shorter day-to-day stuff.

If you want the Onett one you better buy it now, because the 2015 shop is about to get shut down in couple days, and you wont be able to buy any of the 2015 covers. You can hold an order for 60 days, but i'm not sure how it works. I think you can then transfer it over to the next shop.

Aaaaaa, now I am kind of really bummed that the A6 size is so tiny (I drew it out on a sheet of paper). I have a similar-sized mokeskine I don't use because it's too small.
Even my smallest "travel sized sketchbooks" are preferably A5 sized and there's no Earthbound covers for the cousin techo. I'm just going to grieve. lol

As far as I know, there's no real way to "avoid" them, it just seems to happen often due to regulations between Japan and the EU.
yeah usually either need to find a japanese retailer that 'adjusts' the declaration value, or a UK importer - just theyll pass the cost on to you. It's so annoying that the handling charge for when things hit customs charges is ~£10 flat charge, I'd happily pay the actual duty in advance if there was an option.
yeah, sometimes it just slips through. its meant to be anything over >£15 (including shipping), or £18 for gifts. which atm is like, 2800 yen

If people think this is a good idea, can you either post here or PM me a few thoughts on what you did with the 2015 edition? I gather many of us got completely hooked and made this part of our daily lives. If I make a new thread, I'd love to include a few testimonials!

When does the 2016 go on sale? I'm still using mine daily. Missed a few days here and there from leaving it at home when I had to travel but it's pretty full so far. I think a new thread would be great!

Daily notes / pasting news paper articles that I find important (have a few about the bombing in Thailand recently) / doodles if I think I can do something better than a stick figure. Basically I use it for things I find important.

I work from home, so the planner portion isn't so important to me. However, I need a notebook next to me all day, and I love everything about the Hobonichi form factor.
Short of buying one and ignoring the dates, is there a way of getting several hundred of the square pages on that paper bound together?

I loved my little Techo for the first half of the year. I wrote in it every day and kept track of various things, but then my Father-in-Law died and I didn't write in it for like a month. I keep trying to get back into the swing of it, but I'll write for a few days and then leave it alone for like a week.
Maybe ordering the 2016 book and a new cover is what I need... >_>

Yes, please. I'm thinking about buying the 2016 edition as my first one.
New thread would help reinvigorate the interest I think. I missed the boat last year.
I'd love to see a new thread with people's impressions of their 2015 after a year of using them. I might end up getting one for this next year.
