Great stuff there Lime. It's fun taking another tour of the game through your shots.

Thanks! I appreciate it - I finally got around to playing it and it's quite a surprise - I expected much worse, but it's actually really interesting with a great soundtrack, excellent visual direction and environmental art style. I wish it focused on one particular aspect instead of throwing so many things against the wall to see if anything sticks - there's too many different horror influences going on to make any of them actually stand out.

Damn! You're doing an amazing job with these shots. Really atmospheric stuff. And I like that you left the film grain on, it's another layer of dimension.

Thanks! Yeah, I generally preferred to keep the film grain on to be true to the aesthetic of the game. It's looks nicer despite lowering the IQ of the picture.

And thanks for all the help with the FOV :)

Have any of you guys used SRWE for downsampling..? It's kinda finnicky and I'm wondering how do you know if it's actually working and capturing your shot at the desired resolution? I loaded the game profile, entered the resolution I want it to render at under "window position and size" i.e 6700 x 4200 and alt tabbed to the windowed game but it's zoomed in so much that I have to click on taskbar mode again to view it normally, but the resolution defaults back to the original..:-s.

I really like how the game holds up so many years later. Really nice texture work and some character models (have yet to take some decent screenshots of those though! Would be easier if I found a free camera hack)

Getting perfect IQ in this game is god damned impossible.

Extreme modded Extra High settings + 5760x4320 rendering resolution.

Everything maxed out with HBAO+ at 1080p:

lol oh hey

@Thorgal

Your avatar pic made me go on a search for my old collection of Celever & Smart comic books. I left them ages ago when I moved out of my parents house. Going through some storage places, I have not found them yet, I fear they are gone :(

(Still have one or two places to look for them though, ... sorry for the off-topic)

For those not checking the MGSV threads:

I made a super easy to use extreme graphics mod.

new_extra_high_settings_cropped_by_aloooo81-d98owgz.gif

Download link: Without FXAA | With FXAA

Install instructions:
Extract this zip to your "MGS_TPP\master" folder.
Run the "Run This - Extra Extra High Settings.bat" file.
Launch the game.

Here is the new settings configuration with the file.

Low settings = Original Extra High
High Settings = Playable extended settings
ExtraHigh Settings = Extreme settings for screenshots

If your PC has everything maxed out and has performance to spare, then you should probably check it out. Keep in mind that ExtraHigh is VERY taxing and you most likely will not hold 60fps with it.

...Would be easier if I found a free camera hack)
Might be able to help you with that soon. The game is on my list and if it's the same as Batman AO and AC then it *should* be fairly easy to whip up a quick camera table.

EDIT: See if this works for you. Pause camera with tilt and FOV control. You'll need to setup a keybind to enable changing FOV with CE though. In ..\Documents\Square Enix\Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY\BmGame\Config\UserInput.ini, add below entry to the bottom of file.

Code:
.Bindings=(Name="F1",Command="FOV 90")
.Bindings=(Name="F2",Command="FOV 40")

Dead Space 3

Well I managed to get SRWE working and I think it worked out pretty nicely.

Downsampled from 6400x2700 to 3440x1440p

Nice shots. I recently started playing this and already have 80 hours logged. It's become one of my favorite games of all time.

ReShade also adds a lot for improving image quality. I found the Ambient Light shader in GemFX made the biggest difference in overall visual quality. Absolutely stunning.
