Quick screen grab to test Mass Effect 3 with HD textures.

Amazing! Unfortunately I could never get TexMod to load the HD textures in ME3 whereas I had no problem in ME2. Between that and trying to force it to run in a 21:9 aspect ratio and downsample (pre NVIDIA DSR) I got frustrated and gave up. It was too many hoops to jump through just to launch the game. One of these days I'll go back and finish that game.

CA belongs no where near a video game imo. =

DoF, MB, Bloom, glare, and light flares are all visible phenomena to the human eye.

CA is not.

There is a difference between developers aiming for cinematic realism versus what the human eye sees. All those effects you see being implemented in today's games are not arbitrary. In other words, it's all about the lens, not the eye.

Although I can understand why some people dislike CA, but it just bugs me when some say that CA should never exist. The reasoning behind favouring the lens over the eye is entirely subjective in terms of aesthetics. But if the developers say that they are going for a cinematic vibe, then it is entirely acceptable to use CA and all the other effects.

CA belongs no where near a video game imo. Unless the game implicitly has a reason for say, playing the game through an old 90s handheld camcorder. Or viewing security cameras in Duke Nukem 3D :p

Not in the full retard form developers stupidly implement it in.(Not even the UE4 release of Ethan Carter escaped! With the Config files encrypted. The only way to disable it is to run the separate extra console enabled .exe and disable it manually each time. The developer's response to me was "We added chromatic abberation to achieve more analogue look and feel. We tried to be gentle about it.")

Only when it's part of physical lens simulation , where it's extremely subtle and varying in degrees based of several factors. Is it even remotely acceptable in my eyes.

I agree, in my opinion SOMA is one that has great reason to use it based on what you are playing through the game as though. Notice how at the beginning of the game CA is nowhere to be found. It wasn't something that detracted from the experience for me. It was used as a varying effect throughout the whole game to enhance the experience.

Now in, say, GTA V, it bothers the hell out of me.

I love how rain affects the hair. Apart from that I find the HairWorks in most cases not THAT beautiful. On Geralt, though. On creatures it looks stunning. But hairline on Geralt looks misplaced and the beard a bit too "fluffy" and it reacts too much to wind.

These things are huge for some reason. Can someone tell me how to format the screens so they are a bit smaller where you can zoom like everyone else's? Sorry, first post on this thread!
Just post them on flickr, not imgur (read the OP) and use the embedding code (just the img tags) provided to you by flickr when you click the share arrow. The image is then embedded at full size in the thread and the forum html will resize it based on the browser window.

I totally agree with you. Hairworks doesn't look that great on Geralt or most humans. I think it looks better turned off in some cases when I'm doing portraits.

Tried injecting SMAA and now I'm torn. SMAA is certainly better at AA then whatever CDP made for TW3 but I'm not sure that it fits the game style better.

Images hosted at abload.de are not loading for me, it like that for everyone?

Yeah they aren't loading for me either.

Loads fine for me. I usually use picpar but it did not want to accept my uploads for whatever reason. As soon as the upload is done it would redirect to the main upload page. I've re-uploaded the shots to flickr just in case.

Use the ENB on the enbseries website instead of reshade

Looks good but I prefer my custom reshade preset without bloom etc...

I used a different method, very simple. It takes a few hours to setup, but the loadings are way shorter (I barely notice any difference). Give it a try!

Abload is unstable for about a month or so. Sometimes force reloading (Ctrl+F5) helps, sometimes not. A damn shame 'cause that was one of the better image hostings out there.
