Well first you need a defense to be awful
Just trotting out 11 players onto the field does not a defense make. Our issues from last year were...Run stopping, LBs, Secondary...we did almost nothing to fix any of that this off-season.
Why would hype in Philly backfire?
I mean it really was a Dream Team a few years ago and Chip revolutionized the game

I think Madden once said it, no one should ever have the opportunity to throw that many picks in a game.

Carson Wentz can't throw deep
I don't think anybody is saying he lacks the arm to throw deep, RG3 had a fairly strong arm too, just that the Eagles seem to be limiting the offense as deep throws are probably the most likely to turn into mistakes for a young player. It's probably the smart move.
But they are dialing up the deep balls, at least a couple a game. The Eagles WRs keep dropping them though, despite Wentz laying them in there about as well as you could ask for. I think that is affecting his stats and making people think he's throwing only short stuff.

I remember Ben mania when he won his first 13 games.
He only lost one game that year. His only weakness that year was cheating.
didn't Ben beat the undefeated Pats x Eagles in back to back weeks too?
He ended like a 20+ game winning steak for the Pats and we stomped the fuck out of the Eagles. Like 28-0.
Ben got to rest in a few of the 4th quarters that year.
Weirdly Parcells said he reminded him of Marino, which is the last qb I would compare him to.

The stats that squicken and others are bringing up includes attempts, not just completions.
He didn't have that weakness until after the SB win.
To be exact it started after Tommy smashed his face in with an Oldsmobile.
Which stat is that? squicken posted a throwing chart which doesn't even seem all that accurate since it doesn't include the throw I had in the gif; a 41-yard bomb to DGB in the end zone that he dropped.
They've dominated every game thus far with the short and intermediate passing game. So why exactly do we have to force balls deep downfield?

Looks like Raiders released Marcel Reece. He'll be a Brown soon.
Except they aren't limiting the offense to protect him. He's taken his fair share of down the field shots. We just haven't had the chance to see him take many risks like that and play from behind.

The short passing criticism isn't necessarily invalid. There will be times when the team is behind and he needs to sling it. That hasn't been tested and is indeed a mystery. Mixing in long throws is different from being in the position where you HAVE to throw them.

Not very good. He used to be a decent pass-catching back and rusher tho. Raiders liked to move him all the over the place, they'd line him up in the slot or at TE fairly often.

Which defense will be worst tonight...its a dice roll.Saints defense limited the Giants to 9 points last Sunday,but they are unable to stop a passing game.Falcons defense is a little better but if Drew Brees has all the time to pass,he will be hard to contain.The Falcons concede 126 yards on the ground per game so don't forget Mark Ingram...
