2016 PC Screenshot Thread of No Compromises

Can't help but find myself more impressed with screenshots of the original Mirror's Edge more than Catalyst. I can't really describe what's off about the new one. Textures look kinda crap for one. I'm sure people will say that it's just because "beta."
Because it is? You honestly think they're going to leave in like 64x64 textures on a giant billboard?

AC Unity, OtisFX, Reshade with my new preset

It looks like Mirrors Edge but it doesn't feel like it. Maybe. Might be just me.
I can't really put my finger on what's wrong with it either. Robert Briscoe really should've worked on this title. He'd know what's wrong.

There doesn't seem to be any kind of momentum in the game. There is a sense of weightlessness and things such as headbob and other chunky or heavy features are removed for a smoother experience. Personally, I miss the feeling of weight from the first game.

Well in my opinion, the best way to look at these portrait shots are in a small quote like that, or in a new tab where they are still resized. I don't like having to scroll down just to see 1 image.

Portrait shots yeah, sure. I'd even ask for people to set links to the same image under that image to be able to quickly open them in a separate tab, resized to my browser window.

Same here. I don't think it's textures. The styling of lightning seems to be off somehow. I'm thinking that this is because of a need to incorporate a real time day-night cycle but a generally worse styling can be at play as well.

That said, Catalyst looks nice when heavily supersampled.

having played the beta, the materials are pretty meh and everything looks very low poly. lighting also comes off as super flat. nothing appears to have any depth. they still havent improved the AO since battlefield 3. most of the time im not even sure if i think it looks better than the original.

How are you guys using injectors and things for Dark Souls 3 without getting banned? I want to take shots but I'm not risking losing access to the multiplayer.

Pretty sure people are not getting banned for using injectors. All my friends that play this game use injectors and haven't even received the initial invalid data warning that precedes a ban.

Worst case scenario, you play online with injectors and you get that warning. Then you just stop before you get banned.

I got that warning for hacking the FOV and camera (and probably a lot of other values in the process of finding the camera) and I got that warning. That was like... a week ago. Still haven't been banned.

Not only that, but as far as I'm aware, no one (including myself) has been banned for using the 21:9 hex edit while playing online either.

I've been using Hatti's camera tools, Jim's CE and ReShade on a permanent basis. Haven't gotten a warning even while I invaded my ass off. I play online almost exclusively. Not when I take shots though. 1 FPS or lower tends to get you booted.

If you got a warning then that's just too risky for me. All I'd need is that initial warning and then a false positive, and it'd be gone. I guess I'll have to wait a while until the community figures out what exactly will happen once the game's been out a bit longer.

Can't you just play offline?

Yes, but there have been confirmed reports of bans for using injectors offline too. It seems From is being quite overzealous, at random, and so many of us are holding back from doing anything to the game until we get confirmation on what exactly can and cannot be done without risking a permaban.

The warning was for cheat engine. Not injectors. I haven't heard of people getting a warning for injectors at all.

Yeah, there you go.

Pretty ridiculous that a product you paid good money for and you play offline on your own hardware can be blocked by the vendor because you add a dll to the process using legitimate windows practices and they don't like it.

Getting banned simply means you can't play online. But you can still play however you want to offline (single player). Which is fine for me as this game is mostly a single player game. I don't like CO-OP because it makes the bosses too easy, and I don't like the PvP because the meta for this game is fucked in so many ways. So.... they can ban me for all I care :)

haven't gotten any warning or anything using reshade and jim's free-ishcam, but also i make sure to go into offline mode when i take shots.
