Ok, I have to ask: why are shots where I can clearly count the pixels from 3 meters away from the monitor better than a somewhat compressed jpg?

Hmm, I hope it's not a problem posting these here. D:[/QUOTE]
I don't mind at all.
Ok, no offense, but please answer me this, because I'm seriously interested: what made you post this shot in a thread where even pixels caused by little jpg compression are frowned upon? It can't be because it's pleasing for the eye, it's as raw as a 320x200 framebuffer grab from an old Amiga 500 game. I know I'm likely beating a dead horse, and I'm not saying I'd like to forbid you to post whatever you want (as everyone should post whatever s/he wants), I'm intrigued why one would post shots like this in a thread where lots of people put a lot of effort in their shots to make them look as beautiful as possible, going through great lengths with CE tables, hacks, debug cameras, mods etc.

We're not all, myself included, at the level of the great screenshotters who occasionally please us with a visit and one of their rare shots, but at least most here try to be. I mean, we all can fill this thread with pages full of shots randomly taken while playing a random game, not caring what's in the frame or how they look like. There's no effort in that, nor any value in it too.
I know you can take great shots, I've seen breathtaking pictures by you in the console shot thread. Why not post shots like that here (taken on PC of course) instead of shots with less pixels than this message has characters? This thread would be much better, we all benefit from that
Thanks.
Hmm. I'm not trying to make the point of 'everything has to be art', we've been over that, case closed, not gonna happen etc. I just wondered why one would post a shot with very low image quality, in a thread I've always seen as a show case of high image quality pictures (hence the reference to jpg compression crap, the title is a joke, the rule isn'tNot trying to be rude here, and I know you're probably aware of that, but I'll say it anyway - you answered your own question.

There, I fixed it:
