I dont think that
there will be a movie. I think Jack dies this season and the movie is just a red herring. Jack will tear through everyone responsible ultimately putting him against Chloe. Both realize they HAVE to do what each of them has to (Jack out of revenge, Chloe out of law). So Jack dies, everyone is exposed and all is right with the world. I mean after this there is no more redemption for Mr Bauer.

Plus jack gets all his girlfriends killed.
The script for the movie is done. They'll strike while the iron is hot. I'm sure they could have it ready for next summer but there might not be a good date available..

Fox isn't going to throw away the money.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Just wanted to say...I just started watching 24. Have never seen it, but it was on Netflix, and I was like...what the hell. Watched the entire 1st season in the span of 3 days. So yeah, I'm totally hooked now.

I watch very, very little TV, so for a show to grab my interest it's gotta be good.

this episode was everything i loved about 24.

in the past couple seasons, was it so hard for these writers to understand that more bauer means an amazing episode.

I think this season will end with Jack being basically the most wanted criminal in the entire world. Then in the movie he'll somehow save the country and die a hero, redeeming his image.

I'm starting to think this season might end with Bauer pulling a Bourne and faking his death at the end, just to escape from his past and his actions.

Jack wouldn't run from the consequences of his acts. At least I hope not.

That is my hope, I want the movie to be about the US and Russian government trying to hunt him down, and him fucking them up, but then something happens that only he can fix and he saves the day but dies in the process.

This happened to me. Saw the first four episodes of season 6, and then stopped to end up watching all of seasons 1-5 within a month. I would stop watching season 8 now. DVR or VCR, and come back when you've had fun with the other seasons (in order). Just keep in mind most shows don't run 24 episodes a season... there are going to be some slow/weak episodes, plus season six in general is rather weak after the first four episodes, but it still has its fun parts. "Damn Jack." :D

Happened to me as well. Except I watched seasons 1-6 in a span of a week and a half over summer vacation. Most addicting show ever.

Hah.. same here.. i jumped in at season 5, and watched 1-4 in a week

NBA age been keeping me away from Bauer Hour. Finally watched this weeks ep, shiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeet Revenge Bauer is on a roll. He has had to surpass approach his season 4 kill count record by now.

i bet next episode will be really dumb. logan had nothing to do with the assasination of renee yet logan will clearly fail to mention this to jack. obviously logan will die. but if i were logan, i'd tell bauer the whole straight up dawg time truth as soon as i'd see bauer.

Logan was on Jack's chopping block already, this is not going to make anything better since he is basically involved. And now Logan is behind the coverup and trying to silence/kill Jack? Yea Logan is fucked.

didn't know they had a past history. i only started watching 24 last season. so this is my second season of 24.

i'm still very sad that there will be no more 24 :(

what other TV show could I move to or revisit which is just as good as 24? i haven't seen many US TV shows, other than prison break.

maybe you could start watching 24 from the beginning

Great episode. That torture scene was gruesome as fuck. And while the idea of a covert operative having someone as high profile as Logan's direct number on his dial list is ridiculous, it makes for great television. This season has blown me away, and this has been by far the best second half of a 24 season.

Logan is fucked. But at the same time is this a line Bauer will cross? There is no way of being redeemed for killing an ex president. Even kidnapping him would be a federal offense.

I could definitely see Jack dying, and the movie being a smokescreen. Regardless of whether he lives or dies, he's pissed off some powerful people and most likely brought down the Taylor presidency. There is no going back, no more "gov/ctu asks Jack for help" moments in his future, no nothing. He'd have to fake his death (again), but given how poorly that went last time who knows.

Start 24 from the beginning, the first 5 seasons were glorious and much better.

Logan was around for like 3 different seasons.

Silly people. Jack can't die. He only dies on his terms as he said in season 6. Seeking revenge and dying in the process isn't dying for something. Every season he's always near death and somebody jumps in and takes the bullet for him. He couldn't bring himself to blow his own head off. What does he have to live for? His granddaughter..just like this season started...unless she's been brainwashed to kill grandpa Jack.

24 will have 3 movies..24 turns into the new Die Hard.

He didn't have it in there, per se. Logan (stupidly) wanted Pavol's phone number to be kept up to date, and he got it from Russian guy in charge of conspiracy (Baldy). Not Long before the Ambush of the Ambush, Logan used that number to call Pavol, and Pavol never got around to deleting recent calls.

If you're up for it, rent or buy season 5. It's nice to have seen them all, but seasons 5 and 8 heavily involve Logan. It will only intensify what happens next week. :D

Logan era is S4 S5 and S6. What's happening now with Jack/Logan is a continuation of S4.

Has there been any word on Aaron Pierce returning? I know Glenn Morshower visited the set, but will he appear in the show? Surely a season 5-redux where he helps Jack take down Logan would be too good to pass up.

Other than that set visit no one knows. I would like to think they would get him in somehow. He's the only actor other than Sutherland to be in all 8 seasons.

Jack is gonna recruit Pierce to expose Logan. Or at least, he better. It's only fitting.

Nah, Jack wouldn't know if he was around - and he's going for it alone anyway going by the preview.

If they're going to introduce Aaron in the last three episodes, there's only a few ways to do it - one such way is to have him as a presidential escort for President Suvarov. It would make sense, considering Aaron Pierce saved his life during the attack on the motorcade in Season 5.

Another possibility is this - in the clip released from sprint/fox for next episode, President Logan's involvement in the treaty is announced on national news. Aaron Pierce (who obviously is fully against Logan), may well turn up at the UN to confront him himself after finding out his involvement. As the previous head of Secret Service under numerous Presidents, he'd easily be able to enter the UN. If Jack fails to kill/take out Logan next week (which is pretty likely), it'd be pretty awesome if Aaron did it instead. It could even result in a Aaron/Jack infiltration of the UN in the final episode.

Just caught up to the last episode.

I am going to miss this show like crazy. At first I agreed with the decision to cancel it, but now I disagree completely. What an awesome season. Seriously, wtf it's mind boggling. At least it's going out with a bang T____T

Also, Kiefer Sutherland needs to win an Emmy for this season.
