Yeah, I'm personally finding it hard to take him seriously. I keep expecting him to ask a damn rabbit for advice and for Nikki Cox to come bouncing in.:/

I was thinking the same thing when he was in Air Force One.

Well the last president has personally thanked him on a day of crisis 3 times now. I think the public wants a taste of some Bauerosity.

So he's got about 10 minutes to kill everyone in there before the entire place goes up. Crazy. And think, he's only been off the job for a couple years.

Then again Jack didn't get very far when he left the gas station anyway.

Yeah, I remeber that after Jack droped off the bad guy he turned around and was headed back in the direction where came from so must of been very far.

WTH is in that breafcase?

Next week is going to be so freaking sweet. Tonight's episode seemed like a speed bump between the awesomeness of the first 4 hours and what promises to be true Bauer Action Hour next week.

Man, next week will be sweet. Time to invent that Time Machine I've been meaning to create.

Just downloaded tonight's episode (couldn't watch it on TV).

They're getting rid of Chloe for GOOD?! This season better kick ass because I really liked her character. :(

I need compensation!! :)

Great episode; I REALLY hope that the trial isn't "postponed" at the last minute or anything, and that the guy Audrey recognized lives and so does she. I would like to see where that little story thread goes, personally.

I wouldn't say Chloe is gone for good...I'd say that there will be some crisis to draw her back into the fold. Like, oh...Driscoll dying. Maybe her crazy daughter can kill her. Good times.

Jack getting his car back was short? What about Behroos going to the mountain and back. He was gone for like 5 minutes. I didn't get how they sent him because the parents needed to be accounted for yet the Mother stays home and the son was only gone for a 5 min trip. Good lord that made no sense.

Heck a lot of stuff irritates me this season. I love the previous seasons and when Jack is on, he's rocks all kinds of ass, but a lot of this season irritates the hell out of me. The whole incompetency of CTU. Driscoll leaving to go see her damn daughter when the broadcast is due in 10 to 15 min? The Araz family killing the daugher which in reality causes more trouble than anything else? Then there's that other chick at CTU hell bent on screwing everything up for her own benefit. Heck even the Heller's are idiots. Come on, the Secretary is going to be a hard ass, then they threaten his daughter and he caves. How many times is it going to take for him to realize they're just going to do that? Also shouldn't the fact that they've seen their faces be enough of a clue that they don't plan on having either of them alive in the end? Someone sure beat them with the stupid stick. Oh ya, what happened to the Senator's son? They forget about him this ep? Jack is the only thing I like about the show this season and I find other stuff sorta stupid this time around.

If the put him on that sensory depravation equipment for more than an hour, which I think they did, then he skips at least one episode.

I totally see her daughter stabbing her in the back...literally. Thought it was going to happen tonight actually.

I want Chloe back too...she'll be all independent and shit. And to think she pretty much sucked last year...she grew balls

Haha, Jack has 10 minutes to rescue SoD and his daughter before the place gets bombed to hell.

So if you were in Hellers place you could watch a loved one being tortured or killed right in front of you because you refused to sign a piece of paper? Heller realizes that they will do this, he realizes that they will kill both of them in the end, but anyone who has a heart would sign that paper because no one wants to see a loved one tortured in front of their eyes when they have they have the power to stop it. Even if it is for the briefest of moments Its not the shows fault that you dont have a heart.

I was thinking the same thing. He's been in there for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, hasn't he?

When the guy killed himself I swear it was a scene right out of Groundhog Day:

*Car crashes*
Me: He might still be all right.
*Car explodes*
Me: Well... Maybe not so much now.

And next week... next week is gonna rock. Who needs MGS: The Movie when you have Jack Bauer?

No, I'm wondering why he bothers going through the charade when its painfully obvious they're going to use this daughter to get him to do anything anyway? It just seems plain stupid that he goes all tough and then caves every two seconds like he didn't see it coming.

they used thermal scanning on the nearby area, since the suicidal guy said he was only some minutes away from their base and they compared with prev years' scans i believe.

they are wrapping up her body for disposal, her mom came to the house asking for her as well.

driscoll called jack to tell him to leave the area; the president gave the order to destroy the entire compound. jack ignores her and loads up his gear...entering serious ass kicking bauer mode. the missile hits in 10 mins. bauer is going in! next week is gonna be explosive!

When this terrorist was driving around and Jack was following, and the terrorist was calling his buddy in the hide out via cell phone, why didn't the HIGH TECH super spy guys figure out which cell phone tower (which "cell") the call was being made to and find the hide out (2 hours ago) that way?

I think the guy the senator's daughter recognized is probably the connection to the senator's son. He's probably the one who knew the senator would be visiting his son the day of the kidnapping, and the person the senator's son is covering for.

Not that I really know... just theories...

On the point about Behrooz getting there quickly, we saw that the small area near the hideout including three small residential areas, so chances are they are nearby and the distance would make sense. And it was less about time and more about him being seen by a neighbour, or the like. His father's trip to the coffee shop was a good alibi, so it was fine, but driving off carrying a briefcase and then returning? That's more suspicious for an adult.

On the rest of it...yeah, they forgot about the Senator's son. But, I usually don't mind them forgetting little stuff like that. It'll likely come back into play, but for now the rest is more integral.

I don't think the Araz family is stupid. Their killing of Debbie was stupid, but they're paranoid. They believe that this day is more important than their own lives. Thus, if they can simply hide the body and last for 19-20 hours, they won't even have to worry about it because their task is complete. It's a little on the creepy side, but nonetheless.

Can't wait to see Jack go all commando. It's interesting to see how Jack has to act when he doesn't have an automatic direct line to the president. Jack working without help from above is much more interesting.
