The bureaucratic machine of the government is neither rational or sentimental. A guy starts going off book and breaking laws based on out of the box big picture thinking, people immediately insulate themselves to protect their careers and reputation. That's why it was so cool whenever Jack came across guys like Buchanan and David Palmer who thought like he did and understood fucked up things might need to happen in the short term to ultimately serve the greatest good.

I had no idea this show was coming. I wish I'd maintained that ignorance up until the first episode aired. Now the waiting will be excruciating.

Haha I didn't notice all the tattoos on Chloe. Jack also has a ton of tattoos on his right arm, not sure if all of those are real or some of them are made for the series.

5 is an absolute must-see. If you can do both 4 & 5, that'd be ideal.

Kiefers tats, including the Salazar one in S3, are all real. I guess they got bored of hiding them.

He got that tattoo between 2 and 3, I think, and they wrote it in as a Salazar thing specifically so they wouldn't have to cover it. You've been able to see that one clearly since, like it's always on show in the first few hours of S5 where he has his sleeves rolled up, etc.

Amazon Prime Instant Video is now the only subscription service where U.S. users can stream Fox hit 24, the company said Tuesday. The show is no longer available for streaming on Netflix as of April 1.

All eight seasons of 24 are on Prime now. Episodes of the upcoming 12-episodes series 24: Live Another Day will also appear on Prime “later this year.”

Damn. Couldn't resist watching the new promo. God damn they are giving me exactly what I fucking want. A set up for off the rails getting shit done in the shadows Bauer. The best of every season condensed by removing all the bullshit plot points to fill 24 episodes. YES SIR

A few more 24 facts:

Tony Todd, who plays General Juma in S7, plays the chief detective in S3 who questions Palmer and Sherry.

The CTU agent that is assigned to escort Bauer and Nina to Faheen's safe house only to be drugged by Bauer in the van later appears in S3 as an agent assigned to the hotel incident. He dies.

The pose is a bit awkward, yeah. And Jack hardly ever dual wields guns (there's the shootout with the Drazens but I can't think of any other instance)
