This is one of my favourite scenes. The setting, the music, everything was perfect.

Until you realise it's CGI, then you cannot unsee it

Thanks a lot dude :(

I'm so fucking stoked.

As much as the 24 hr realtime format was interesting, I think the show would be better off without it. You cut out a lot of the unwanted fat from the show.

I hope we get previews soon.

Are there any set photos leaked? Anything at all?

Don't think filming starts till January.

I'm so excited, I hope Jack gets to bang Audrey again. If Heller gets pissed at Bauer (which he will anyways) he can go fuck himself.

And is no Kim confirmed? Whatever people say about her, Chloe is 100 times cooler than that annoying character. Leaving her out would be a great move.

DAY 9, fuck yeah

And yes, the second half of season 8 is amazing, the highest point of the series along with S5 imo

Some people can diss Season 8 all they want (I loved the second half too), but even they have to admit Jack in full tactical gear and his assault on Logan's limo is one the greatest scenes in 24 history.

And having multiple days with different hours should be the permanent mandate for the series if it sticks around. You cut filler and Jack can grow a badass beard with more time.

Comments in this thread make me realize I really don't remember this show very well. Why won't they release all the seasons on blu-ray?

5 > 1 > 4 > 2 > 3 > 7 > 8 > 6

1,4,2,3 are all very close for me. 1 and 2 had some great moments but many stupid Kim Bauer/Amnesia plot lines. And 4 was a bit over the top even for 24

still waiting for my blu ray box set fox...

I would instantly buy the blu-ray. I have a few copies of the season dvds..... seasons 1 - 4 "big box/artwork versions. Seasons 1 - 4 in split season form (in Australia prior to the release of season 4 on dvd, Fox decided to re-release their tv shows in "split season" format - in the case of 24 part 1 would have episodes 1-12 and part 2 would be 13-24). Two copies of seasons 5, 6, 7 and 8 - the two copies of seasons 5 & 6 were due to problems i was having with my dvd player at the time. I won a competition each year for seasons 7 and 8..... the funny thing is that i had already purchased both seasons on dvd before i found out that i won them.

Also Fox decided it would be a good idea to cost cut and remove the 7th disc from seasons 2 and 3 (from the split season release and the re-release of the seasons on dvd). And seasons 4, 5 and 6 had the 7th extras disc as a limited edition exclusive for buying the first batch of dvds when they first came out... but subsequent releases of the seasons the 7th disc was not included.

As for how i rate the seasons, my ranking can change with every viewing

When there were only 5 seasons: 2, 5, 1, 4, 3
Season 6 made me think: 2, 5, 1, 4, 3, 6

Jumping to season 8 i wouldn't know as my favorite season(s) change rapidly

2, 5, 1, 4, 7, 8, 6, 3

need sideways swat guy shooter. season 5?

I am putting the seasons on my computer hard drive as i go along (i convert them so i can watch them on the WDTV media player), i plan on making .gif's and ripping audio for ringtones and message tones for friends. I did this years ago but not for every episode, while most fans i knew had the CTU ring as their ringtone... i gave people Jack's DAMN IT and other phrases.

I want to make gifs of certain moments but my gif making skills are average.

So like I'm seeing some posts about Renee in this thread, did people not like her? I thought Renee was awesome, one of the few great things about Season 7 and 8.

I hated her at first but then she grew on me. I felt bad when she was shot.

Jack was finally happy and then BAM!

I don't think we need to worry about the real-time thing, obviously they'll have to skip half of the hours but I don't see them doing time skips in the middle of an episode, those will be between episodes most likely.

Yep, that scene is glorious. People who trash Season 8 often argue that Jack went too far and President Taylor was acting out of character, but I think their motivations were pretty clear and the way they act isn't so unreasonable given the circumstances.

Whatever happened with the Indian version of 24 that was starring the President of Waziristan or whatever it was in the final season?

I only watched a bit of the first episode, but from what I've seen it's pretty much a carbon copy of the original Season 1. I think it just got renewed for a second season.

I like the idea of Hour1 taking place in the US, when a threat compels Jack to travel abroad. Hours 2-12 take place off screen as Jack preps and flies to the UK. Hours 13-24 are uninterrupted in London.

I assumed they'd make larger time skips when necessary during commercials.

Can we just pretend Day 8 never happened and bring back non-emo Renee

6-7Jack Bauer head butt the Air Marshal

strange ranking

5>1>4>2=3>7>>>>>>>>>>8>6

7 was half great, half terrible. White House and Renee were the terrible parts. 8 was an absolute disaster through and through. People only remember the couple of cool scenes.

Since we're talking rankings, here's my insanely complex official ranking list from the last thread.

Last third of S3
>
First 4 eps of S6
>
S5 = Last third of S8 = First half of S1
>
S2 = S7
>
First two thirds of S3
>
S4 = Second half of S1 = Redemption = First two thirds of S8
>>>>>>>>
Rest of the shitpile that is S6

Also Connie Britton was the hottest Jack love interest. Hottest female has to go to Season 2 Kim Bauer. Season 3 sweaty viral Michelle is probably up there too. Yum

So what do you guys think of the 24 Redemption movie?

Great, but slow.

Carlyle was superb, I thought. Pity he went out the way he did - he would have been ideal for teaming up with Bauer in London during Day 9.

And yes, Robert Carlyle's character was special forces. It would have fit, somehow.

Woah, woah, woah! They're actually filming in London???

At least that'll cut down on having to put in CGI for landmarks.

I'm pretty sure they're doing external stuff there. Faking London when you're filming in America is nigh on impossible.

Jon Cassar was there scouting locations recently.
