As long as Jack shoots her in the face point blank just like he did with the spy in season 8 I'd be totally okay with that.

Can there be a character called Chuck and have Jack say "That's for Chuck" after he does it?

I'm in the middle of Season 3 of that show, Sarah's character has pissed me off several times.

Wait, how are they going to do intros, etc. without the clock. I <3'd that sound. It was better than most shows on getting my attention.

Monday, May 5.

Awesome.

I agree w/ the OP. 24 needed the 24 episodes = 24 hours gimmick to get onto television, but by the end of the series it was an albatross around Jack Bauer's neck. Adhering to that timeline is not what kept eyeballs on the screen; it was seeing what insane shit Jack Bauer would do next.

24 is the shit. I can't wait for this new season. First event TV I've been excited about in years.

24 series finale >>> Lost series finale.

"Every 24 episode will be in real-time, but might skip a few hours in between episodes. #TCA14"

I hope this is successful and they permanently bring this show back each year.

How old is Kiefer now though? Surely he won't be doing this when he is over 60 years old, as much as he loves his Jack character. Although i guess an old Jack Bauer with grey hair/beard might look even more badass.

Write up of the panel they had today

Some cool tidbits, not sure what's new and what's spoilers so can weed through yourself
The writers couldn't remember if Heller was alive! Oh man. They had to use Wikipedia for character / actor "fates!" Good stuff.

He's 47. Feels like he's older because he started acting so young!

]EDIT: Was beaten, DAMMIT (Jack Bauer voice).

Looks like he just turned 47. I think he could keep up with the role until he's at least 55.

You know, if that country hasn't made Jack Bauer President by the true end of the 24 series, they're just really fucked up.

Having the time off has let Keifer catch up in age to Jack. Jack had to be near 50, with all the time jumps after every season.

Yeah, he was around 50 in season 8, so he would be 54-55 this season... all these time jumps make me think that James Heller should be quite old by now as well.

Nice. I like that Jack is still
a fugitive
, glad to see they're not trying to sweep under the rug all the shit that went down in S8.

if we go by how they aged Jack, as being the same age as Keifer in season 1, Heller/Devane was 68 in Season 5, and the new show is about 12 2/3rd's years later (in show), making him over 80. Devane is currently 77-78.

Hah, yeah, but the writers dropped that conceit about halfway through the show's first run. They said it exists in a state of "perpetual now" so it can always stay current / slightly ahead of current.

Watch the first half of the season, then just skip it. Season 6 is so utterly terrible, the family drama is absurd.

Once a show starts digging up previously unknown family members, for the sole purpose of having them be part of the "evil" scheme, is when you know the showrunners have run out of ideas.

ahh yessss, Bauer Power Hour, back on the air.

Show always impressed me how they can make a smaller stature dude in Keifer, into an ultimate badass.

You know I really first noticed this in season 7, during a fight in a construction site (with the trailer). That was the first time I actually went "damn he's shorter than I thought".

This is all fantastic news. They WILL figure out how to get Mike Novick and Aaron Pierce back, right? RIGHT?!

Awesome to have a premiere date to look forward to. I started watching S7 for the first time since it originally aired in preparation last week; I don't remember most of it, and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I'll do S8 again as well, which I'm hoping will be better than I recall.
