Wow, that was not the look I was expecting for the new Chloe but I kinda like it lol. Jack looks badass too.

Set photo? Stop trying to fool us.

That's just a typical photo of east croydon

and I was gonna say that looks like a typical photo of a typical day in Jack Bauer's life. Car's flipped over = Drinking a cup of coffee.

Also, as a refresher, what was the reason Jack is in hiding? I can't remember all the intricate details from the series finale.

After Jack went Mad and killed a Russian Ambassador and all of his men, took a former president hostage, threatened a current president over her lies, and other things that needed to happen, he had basically created a gigantic international incident between 2 of the biggest countries around. The Russians want him found (for the Ambassador killing, ruination of the "peace treaty" they set up, and probably for the attempt on their presidents life), and the USA wants him found (for taking Logan hostage, firing on government agents, and probably other things I can't remember).

Basically, the 2 biggest superpowers wants him. Making Jack 3 for 3 in his Pissing-off-Superpowers bingo game. China, Russia, USA. Now it's Great Britain's turn!

Speaking of 24, i'm currently rewatching Season 5 with my girlfriend(who never saw it) and it's funny how Logan is acting before the infamous reveal... i mean, it makes no sense when you know what he really is. It's like the writers suddenly decide
"Hey, let's make Logan the bad guy"
the night before they start shooting that episode.

That's because that is EXACTLY what they did. 24 was written on the go.

It'll be interesting how they handle Audrey and how much they acknowledged her basically being an invalid last time we saw her. Hell, maybe she still is and Day 9 delivers that magical plot healing.

Kim Raver is great though. I go back and forth between her and sweet sweet Kate Werener as my favorite Bauer love interest.

Really? Its been years and I only watched each season once, but I remember the set up being pretty good for his turn. Didn't think it came out of nowhere.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much

Yeah, even back in season 4 he was already shown to be very slimy. It was definitely not planned for him to be quite such a bad guy but I don't think it was too jarring. Right in the first episode of S5 his reaction to Palmer's assassination is suspicious, as time went on it seemed like Logan had a much darker side that he played down in public.

One of the best moments in 24 is his first meeting with Taylor in S8, he kind of oscillates between simpering and vengeful, that death stare as she walks out is awesome. They'd better bring him back, as a cyborg or something.

Just so you all know, the shots there are not from the shooting of an episode. Jon Cassar has confirmed filming for the series does not start until Sunday.

What you see there is from a promo that will be shown before the premiere date (they did the same for seasons 4, 5 and 6). That's why the London features are so prominent.

Man I really need to dig up all the 24 dvd boxsets from my storage shed in the back yard, just to get myself hyped again.

why the hell are they only doing 12 episodes? they're gonna regret it when they see how hungry people are for more 24.

Because as the last 8 seasons have proved, having 24 episodes results in filler (amnesia, kim's adventures, kyle, behrooz, etc) that drags down the show and takes away from the stuff we want to see (jack bauer kicking ass)

12 episodes means a tightly plotted, balls to the wall season of 24. How can that possibly be bad?

Also, just so people know, I'm doing the OT for 24: Live Another Day a week before it airs (just booked it in the OT thread). It's gonna be amazing.

hell yeah

Remember - Season 1 was originally written as 12 episodes, as that's all 24 was originally comissioned for. It was entirely plotted up to the end of Episode 12 (when Jack rescues Kim and Teri) before shooting. It was only after the ratings proved it was a success that the remaining 12 were comissioned. At this point, they started making shit up as they went along.

It's not a coincidence that the first half of 24 Season 1 is the tightest (and best) the show has ever been. And it's not a coincidence that the amnesia plot and the wild adventures of Teri Bauer appeared in the second half.
