Probably a good thing they ditched the Africa plot, given the reaction RE5 has gotten so far from the retarded majority. =/.

Really lost as to what you're talking about here. How do the two even relate?

BTW, even though season 6 sucked..

I still enjoyed watching it more than 90% of TV. It's not like I HATED watching it.

Thanks dude. I'll give day 2 a try I guess, and if it's good, day 3. These things always happen, things start to get tedious/repetative after a while and you know Something is gonna happen and you're not always surpriced even if what you thought was gonna happen, didn't...... get that? :lol

Just so you know, I have the best avatars ever.
I still haven't finished season 6. I think I'm up to episode 17 or so. I'll probably do it eventually, I guess, but it really needs to be completely retooled, as Whiteman said.

Episode 17 is where it peaks. Bail-out now to avoid disappointment!

You ignored the second part.

No one forces themself to watch an entire 24-episode season of something if they HATE watching it. That's just stupid.

They missed the best opportunity to have it set in China.

They never should have brought back Audrey in season 6. It should have ended with the Chinese getting the microchip. Have season 7 set in China, with Jack trying to track down and save Audrey in the midst of WWIII. Jack could also take down the entire Chinese government, if he wished. Haha.

Yeah what the hell was that?

There had been lots of crappy episodes and episode 17 suddenly was ****ing awesome.
After that? Not so much.

Wow, this new season sounds awesome!
Check it out!

Spoilers I dunno, but just in case
CTU will be disbanded by the government at the start of Season 7. Jack will be hauled in front of a Senate Committee to explain his actions over the past several seasons. The show, itself, will be set in Washington DC and not Los Angeles.

And

Despite his new commitment to Friday Night Lights, the 24 team said it's likely that Glenn Morshower's beloved Secret Service Agent Aaron Pierce may be back, continuing his track record of being the only character other than Jack to be in every season.

Now that is an exciting spoiler to me. A s***load of potential there.

You remember how they keep promising before every new season that the new one would be "radically different" and "something new" and then they'd come up with shit like "the first 10 minutes will change everything" and then 20 minutes of the first episode are showing Jack away from CTU, random characters are killed, other characters have quit CTU...and after those 20 minutes Jack receives some call and everything is back to normal.

Just kill off this goddamn show, Fox. Please.

Ditto.
But I can imagine the scene being really humorous. The Senate sitting there listing the hundreds of things Jack has done over the passed years.
It would make him look like a stark raving mad man.

Formula to fix 24: Rename it as something with Jack Bauer in the title, ditch the 24 hour format. They've done all they can with the current format. Or at least all they are willing to do.
I agree with this. Setting in Africa could have been very cool. I can imagine some Metal Gear Solid stealth scenes.

Awesome.

They explain that the season will start off with Jack Bauer being hauled before the Senate Committee to answer questions about "what are perceived to be" crimes that he committed. From there, the plot will thicken and Jack will be pulled into--wait for it--something that turns into something huge.
Sounds
Splinter Cell: DA/Conviction
-ish.

1:59:23--Audience members voice their displeasure with the character of Kim Bauer, and plead with the execs not to bring her back. They pull no punches, bluntly saying, "Kim Bauer is retarded."

2:22:17--An alternate ending was considered for the finale of season six that saw an old character coming back. In it, Bauer is walking along a cliff when he hears a voice. "Jack," says the voice. A figure walks out of the shadows and its Tony Almeida. "Jack, come with me, we have a lot to talk about." Further evidence that Tony may still be alive.
That would been a supercrappy ending.

Every season? Was Aaron in season one? I don't remember him in it.

Im losing hope fast that S7 will be any good.

The sad thing is i will probably still watch this shit.

The fact that I stopped watching S6 midway through was all the reason I need to know that S7 is likely to follow the same bullshit formula and leave me unsatisfied.

When Jack was sent to "kill" Palmer at the steel plant (or whatever it was), Pierce was one of the CIA dudes who stopped him.

Last season became so predictable it was laughable.

Brother betrays Jack, Jack cries to dad, Jack betrays brother, Dad betrays son, Dad betrays Jack. Jack cries to dad. I stop watching.

Not sure whether i disliked that more or less than "OMG the president is da bay guy!" bullshit from season 5.

It's obvious that the writers know they ****ed up with S6, and that's a big part of fixing the problem. So far S7 sounds like the much needed jolt to the heart.

The soap opera about Jack's family was really stupid. Especially the retarded reveal that the leader of the Bluetooth Group from S5 was.. Jack's brother!

Seriously, how do we go 5 seasons without any hint of Jack having other family members, and then all of a sudden we've got brothers and nephews and dads.

I really remember hating Logan at the end of S4, and not being thrilled about him coming back in S5, but he made such an awesome polar opposite from David Palmer. Unfortunately, D.B. Woodside's acting chops are weaksauce compared to Greg Itzkin and Dennis Haysbert.

MAJOR SHOCKING SPOILER!!
OMG!! AWESOME!

Tony Almeida will be back next season! Fox confirmed it in a press release!!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Source:
will go out of my way not to blurt this out, lest someone castigate me for spoiling. But when Fox's 24 launches Season 7 on Jan. 13 and 14 with a two-night premiere, a familiar (though unexpected) face will put in an appearance. "With CTU dismantled, the show's setting moves to Washington, D.C., where Jack Bauer faces trial for his actions in the pursuit of justice," reads the Fox press release. "Bauer's day gets off to a shocking start when former colleague Tony Almeida (played by Carlos Bernard), last seen in Day 5, returns after being left for dead by a terrorist conspirator in CTU's infirmary."

Say wha?! "Tony's uncertain fate... left the door open for his return," explains exec producer Howard Gordon. "And since there was no silent clock at the conclusion of his last appearance — the 24 tribute to a major character's demise — we always kept this as a possibility." Indeed, it was widely rumored (and, I believe, perhaps even filmed) that Tony was to resurface in the final seconds of last season.

Wait until you-know-who finds out that wife Michelle herself is alive, and working as a chaplain at ER's County General!

I didn't watch season six (I like to watch 24 on a day and a half), but I used to skip through the 24 threads. It didn't seem to get to much praise, so should I bother with it?

jobber

Would let Tony Parker sleep with his wife
how in the hell are they going to explain
Michelle being alive when her body was burned to a crisp and even shown in pics unless they were part of the conspiracy...maybe Henderson knew Jack was the only person that could expose the president so he set up bomb in the car aaaaagdfdfhsjhfgsfdjgfjdfhdj if you watched the S5 dvd, the scene where Jack shoots Henderson was edited. He didn't die right away!

The full pressrelease from FOX!

The innovative, addictive, Emmy Award-winning television series 24 resets the clock for Season Seven with a special two-night premiere event Sunday, Jan. 13 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Monday, Jan. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

In keeping with FOX’s commitment to airing original programming year-round, the intense season will unfold in 24’s regular 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT time period beginning Monday, Jan. 14, and will continue to air all originals all season into June.

“Day 7” of 24 will continue the show’s unique and trend-setting format with compelling new elements. With CTU dismantled, the show’s setting moves to Washington, DC, where JACK BAUER (Kiefer Sutherland) faces trial for his actions in the pursuit of justice. Bauer’s day gets off to a shocking start when former colleague TONY ALMEIDA (Carlos Bernard), last seen in “Day 5,” returns after being left for dead by a terrorist conspirator in CTU’s infirmary.

“Tony’s uncertain fate near the end of ‘Day 5’ left the door open for his return,” said executive producer/show-runner Howard Gordon. “And since there was no silent clock at the conclusion of his last appearance – the 24 tribute to a major character’s demise – we always kept this as a possibility.”

Bernard’s return highlights a list of notable cast members clocking in for Season Seven, including the previously announced Cherry Jones (“The Heiress”) as President ALLISON TAYLOR and Janeane Garofalo (“The Larry Sanders Show”) as FBI Agent JANIS GOLD. Colm Feore (“Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee”) will play First Gentleman HENRY TAYLOR and Bob Gunton (“Desperate Housewives”) is White House Chief of Staff ETHAN KANIN.

FBI Agents assigned to the team investigating the crisis befalling Bauer include Garofalo’s Agent Gold in addition to Annie Wersching (“General Hospital”) as Agent RENEE WALKER, Jeffrey Nordling (“Dirt”) as Agent LARRY MOSS and Rhys Coiro (“Entourage”) as Agent SEAN HILLINGER. John Billingsley (PRISON BREAK) portrays security specialist MICHAEL LATHAM. Although CTU is no longer, CHLOE O’BRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and BILL BUCHANAN (James Morrison) are back for another momentous day of shocking events.

As part of News Corp.’s global commitment to fighting climate change, 24 has pledged significant and innovative changes to its production practices with the goal of saving energy and reducing carbon emissions. Created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, 24 is a production of Real Time Productions and Imagine Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Joel Surnow, Robert Cochran, Howard Gordon, Evan Katz, Jon Cassar, Manny Coto, David Fury, Kiefer Sutherland and Brian Grazer are the executive producers.

I think
Tony will be the badguy!!

Does it matter? It was in a press release. There's NO POSSIBLE WAY you wouldn't be spoiled.

It will be in the commercials, in ads on the internet. You won't be able to have it be a surprise.

If he's joining the cast at the start of the season, word would leak that he was on set filming too.

Jack hasn't worked at CTU for like 3 seasons now. Also, it takes place in DC which means more government crap and moles. This season already sounds bad.
