Yeh! I missed out by seconds trying to order from Japan like three times so the ease of walking into a shop yesterday to preorder was beautiful, hehe.

Will certainly try for the Xeno plates if you do a giveaway. Still feel miffed that I missed out on PlayAsia's preorders becaus customer service told me the wrong time/day the plates would be listed...
Are you in NA? If so, where did you order from? I'm looking at Amazon France, but the faceplate's not available

Ended up securing the Majora's Mask and Xenoblade face plates on ebay for a reasonable price. Majora's Mask plates should be in by the end of the week (US seller) and the Xenoblade plates will be coming in from Japan upon release. Now just hoping a set of Bravely Second plates are announced *crosses fingers*
I did manage to get the Triforce plate from Game, still want to get the Pikachu, Kirby, Smash, and Xenoblade plates. :< US here!

Got my first cover plates today: the Pokemon ORAS plates, the Super Mario white emboss plates and the Triforce plates. Super happy with these! Hopefully my next plates are gonna be the Xenoblade, Pikachu and Kirby ones in April. Now I just need to get around to getting an actual regular sized new 3DS

I shall henceforth refer to these accessories as the New Nintendo 3DS Cover Plate(s), using the appropriate numerical identifier to specify which model I am referring to.
On another note, my New Nintendo 3DS Cover Plate 023 has just arrived in the post. Hurrah!!

Also once some new LL cases come out, then I will make a post specifically for 3DS XL customization.
In other news, Amazon.de is stressing me out. They said delivered Friday and I haven't received by Monster Hunter plates. Might have to write an angry email. Worse case I guess would be using GAME UK for the plates.
No word if a theme will come to match the plates. We shall see sometime this week I bet since UK release is this Friday.

I got the Game & Watch theme because why not? $2 is a bit rich for my blood, but I like it. It fits the console with its fun colors and theme.

Just a heads up, if you ordered either of the Zelda cover plates from the UK Nintendo Store (ie the clowns at The Hut group), say if you ordered the Trifore set you'll probably get the Majora's Mask ones and vise versa. Mine just turned up and I noticed that they were labelled incorrectly on their website (the Triforce ones were listed as No 023 when they're actually 024). This is going to be a fun phone call!
... seriously? That's an entire new level of stupid. Mines is out for delivery today, so I'll update when I receive mine. Though perhaps it's not not such a bad thing that I couldn't cancel my Amazon.de order...

Just got off the phone to someone at Nintendo's CS and they said they have 30 odd put to the side in case of error and such. Of course they're bloody up on GAME now for preorder

My OG white cover plate seems warped.. The end where the screws are, between the screws the cover plate sticks up, if I push it down it goes where it should sit but then pushes back up.
I have never taken it off, gonna try unscrewing it and seeing if there is any problems..

I gave Nintendo's service department a call direct on 0345 60 50 247 and after 34mins of listening to the Saria's Song on loop got a returns label set up but as I said above they only have a few left over for incorrect orders which I imagine is all of them who didn't order both.
If there are loads mixed up here, it might be worth just trading with fellow gaffers rather than fucking about with customer services. Mine are due to be delivered today, so we'll see how it goes.

yeh I imagine they are getting a lot of calls, by the time i get to talk to anyone they will have burnt through their extras. ordered a triforce one from GAME and will sell this majoras one instead, should be able to make up the difference in price on ebay. what a mess :/
Even if they are run by the Hut, these are orders from Nintendo, so I'm pretty sure they are responsible for getting you what you ordered even if they have to scour the country for extra plates. You ordered one thing and they sent you another, it wasn't as advertised, etc. They have no wiggle room here. I know it's a pain, but don't let this rumoured 30 number put you off from complaining.
I wouldn't get too hung up on that I said they have 30ish put to one side right now as if a lot of peeps are going to be returning incorrect orders both sets are going to have increasing and decreasing stock levels. Just that if you want to get you're order sorted now then they have limited stock of a sold out product available at this moment in time but obviously if you're returning one item for another then their stock levels are going to rise.
