buy 3ds lite. Go home. Transfer over stuff from 3ds to lite. Trade in 3ds.

vs

Trade in 3ds for 3ds lite.

Do I end up with the same amount of money in my wallet at the end?

I would say no, typically there are trade in deals that only apply if you apply the money directly to things. Like trade in a game directly towards Skyrim and get an extra 30%.

How is the Netflix on 3ds? My friend seems to like it. I can do it on my android, but it drains the battery too quickly.

Nintendo Zone sounds like a campaign from the 90s.

Need rad games? Cool games? Gnarly games? TUBULAAAAR GAMES? Then get in da zone, DA NINTENDO ZONE! HELL HECK YEAH!

Hope the new hats were worth the wait.

It works fine. I use it sometimes when i'm in bed and want to watch a show, but don't want to wake the wife up doing so. I never encountered slow downs of buffering

I have some buffering issues sometimes, and other times where the store doesn't fully load and crashes the system, forcing me to press and hold the power button twice in a row. It's buggy sometimes, but when your connection is good the interface is nice and it works rather well. Video quality is a little bad, especially when the movie or show you're watching is really dark. I was able to watch an hour long show or two without even losing a bar on the 3ds power bar.

In short, it depends on your threshold for lower quality video streams on a small screen and how close you are to your router.

Ummmm, they actually said that is planned for the 3D classics release of Mother Trilogy.

Get your facts straight, moron.

Yeah, the ambassador program Mother 3 comes with the fully working and complete N64 version remastered for the 3DS in addition to the GBA version.

I heard they were using the canceled Game Cube engine, myself.

I was told by a GS employee a couple of days ago that the 3DS system transfer requires both systems to be connected to Wi-Fi, and since Gamestop doesn't have a signal, they can't do it.

If you have a modern smart phone, you can set it up as a wireless access point, provided you get signal in the store.

I remember before the 3DS was released Nikkei put that rumour out that you could install games to the internal memory. God I wish that was true, it's the only feature I really would give a shit about.

That would be horrible.
You couldn't even put RE:R on the internal memory.

But that rumour came out when we didn't know how much internal storage the 3DS would have, I'm sure people presumed it would have more. What I mean is I wish we could just generally install games, be it to the SD card or whatever :P

Finally, making me want to take my 3DS with me everywhere Nintendo...

Nintendo Zone is already installed on the Japanese 3DS, but of course you can't use it if you don't live in Japan lol.

eShop will be expanded as well,You'll soon have access to game demos(for both downloadable games and retail games)

The eShop will enable users to save payment information to their system if they so desire

Those are the only two points here that are actually new. The rest is all old info.

What I'm really interested in seeing is how extensively they've redesigned the look and feel of the eShop interface itself...

Probably not as drastically as you're hoping.
What they need is a way to easily just go through everything that's on the service.

Well, you can already do that with the search function (just leave all the filters blank)

The problem is that almost nobody even knows that a search function (as well as categories) already exists in the eShop!

They've added a SMB3 inspired download screen.

NES, SNES or GBA version? My satisfaction hinges on this!

Speaking of cosmetic changes, it's disappointing that they didn't adopt a similar look and interface design as the Nintendo Channel. One of the best looking UIs i've seen in a good while.

Yea local wifi, as in 3DS to 3DS not over the internet. It will most likely work like how the DSi to 3DS one works.

no, you need internet connection to transfer Dsiware to 3DS.
When i transfered my 30+ Dsiware games to my 3DS it was constantly switching between "local-Wifi" and "internet".
Afaik it needs the internet connection for communicating with the eshop. after the transfer I visited the eshop and all my Dsiware games were already registered.

edit:
They've added a SMB3 inspired download screen.

hopefully. I don't get the current one. why are there fucking colored hearts dropping in a box? I want nintendo characters, like in the DSi shop

I bet there will be a skype(or similar) app sometime in the future.
I mean, the 3DS with it's several cameras, high-end microphone and (fake) surround-sound speakers basicly screams for it.

I do hope they decide what input to use. Both or 1 or the other, not sometimes 1 sometimes the other.

Same with dsi, Why does every other screen or app love to switch between stylus and button controls to navigate?

No problem.
All you and your friend need to do is:

Both of you download and install the free separate app SwapNote from the Nintendo eShop!
If you're playing your game X already. QUIT the game and load up SwapNote! Don't forget to save!

Send a message to your friend who is playing game Y.

Your friend will then QUIT his game in order to read and reply to your message. You may have to wait if he needs to save his progress!

Wait for his reply in SwapNote!
Quit SwapNote and load up game Z! Your friend will do the same!

Now you're both ready to play. So simple and easy!

----

To be serious, I just plan to send random drawings to friends. Not much else.

Uh, the 3DS is capable of running a game and a small app at the same time.
